Brest or Toulon France?

Put in pictures from your your cruise. If you are willing to share some treasured pictures from you cruse on the USS Dewey, Please Submit them. I would like to fill several pages with  what you consider great site to see. In your travels you have taken just such a picture let hear from you.

HMS Victory

The "HMS Victory" is part of a museum in Portsmouth, England. Here a photo taken and submitted by Steve Starman FTG 2. I'm sure this is one, of many taken by ships crew. I'm not sure if this picture was taken as we passed or if it was taken from on the base. If you have a picture of Dewey participating in the Queens review please submit. Those on the base made us feel welcome during our visit.

During this cruise we visited some great spots. I think the best place for me was Edinborough,  Scotland . Both the castle and the city were nice but the people were very nice. I took several out in town at Portsmouth but most of the did not turn out as my flash was acting up. I tried new Batteries but it did not help.

wanted pictures from, Oslo Norway, Copenhagen Denmark, or any other north alantic port visits.

A Cable car ride

This photo submitted by Steve Starman FTG 2.The Cable Car! That cable car ran from the base of the mountain up to the top where there was a memorial to WWII veterans. There was an old Sherman tank up there and some other artifacts of WWII. Taken in 1969 in Toulon, France. Thanks Steve.

I could use help of anyone with cruse books or photos they are willing to share. If you have a cruse book from any cruse help rebuild the ships history page. Submit what year the cruse is, and what ports were visited. After we have the information for cruise we will try to fill in the blanks, shipyard overhauls, homeport and local ops history. Desperately seeking de-commissioning program scan. this would provide a complete list of USS Dewey Commanding Officers. Please help by submitting information you can.

Sea Detail entering Scotland

Steve Starman submitted this picture. When entering port we would run out the training dummies. It sure would dress up the ship to see missiles on to rail. Submit a better photo to replace this one and receive credit helping with the site.

I any one has a manning the rails photo entering port I would like at least one in dress blues and one in dress whites.
