December 2009 Newsletter

December Meetings

Meetings are held in the large upstairs room at the Heather Farm Garden Center, Walnut Creek, and are scheduled on the first and second Tuesdays of the month, from 7:00PM to 9:30PM.

                                         Lecture 7:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Annual Members' Meeting; Workshop and annual review.

                                         Workshop 8:00 – 9:30 p.m.
                                         Refreshments and help with cleanup and close: Bob Brown and Marlene Logue

 Notes

Dues for 2010 are due by December 31st.  Treasurer Jim Stalker will collect dues for next year at the November and December meetings.  Dues my also be sent to him at: 87 Tuscany Way, Danville, CA  94506. The dues remain unchanged from last year at $50 ($75 couples/household).

California Aiseki Kai: 20th Anniversary Exhibition of Viewing Stones Show in Friends Hall at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, 1151 Oxford Road. Hours are 10:30AM-4:30PM. Bay Island Bonsai  Annual Bonsai Exhibit. New location. Bigger facility. Hall of Commerce, Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501  Pleasanton Avenue, Pleasanton, 94566.  Admission $ 5.00. Free Parking. Same great auction on Saturday, with preview at noon and auction at 1 PM. Guided tours of the exhibit both Saturday and  Sunday. Bonsai sale and vendors both days.
