June Meetings

Meetings are held in the large upstairs room at the Heather Farm Garden Center, Walnut Creek, and are scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 7:00PM to 9:30PM. 

Tuesday, July 14th -      Joint Meeting of Both Classes
                                        Basic Lecture 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. Yoseue & ikadabuki (rafting) styles
                                        Intermediate Lecture 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.  Making jin or shari using junipers
                                        Workshop 8:10 – 9:30 p.m.
                                        Refreshments and help with cleanup and close: Byron Nobriga and Sylvia Roemer

August Meeting - For our August meeting, 'K' has asked that each member bring in their 2 best trees.  Bring in whatever you believe are your finest examples of bonsai art, and you will have a chance to show them off to the club.  Even if you're just starting out in bonsai and only have 2 trees in gallon nursery pots, 'K' would like to see them.

Redwood Empire Bonsai Society: 26th Annual Bonsai Show at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building, 1351 Maple Ave. Hours are Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-4PM. Demonstration by Kathy Shaner at 1:30PM, both days. Over 200 trees exhibited, along with a large vendor room, members’ consignment sales, raffles, door prizes, benefit drawings and ongoing club member demonstrations.
