- 1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread or cracker crumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/3 cup water
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the soup with remaining ingredients except water. Mix well.
- Shape into 6 patties and arrange in single layer in a 13x9" or 12x8" baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Skim off any fat. In small bowl, combine remaining soup and water. Spoon over patties.
- Return to oven for 10 minutes.
I usually serve this with mashed potatoes and double the gravy so that there is enough to spoon over them. Hope you enjoy it.
