- 1 lb Kielbasa (or smoked) sausage links, cut thinly on the diagonal
- 1 large onion
- 1 large bell pepper
- 2 tsp butter or margarine
- Deli po-boy or hogie buns
- Slice the onions and bell pepper into thin strips.
- Sauté in butter until almost done; add sausage. Sauté until heated through.
- Meanwhile, split the buns and lightly toast.
- Put the meat mixture on buns and enjoy! (I add a little mayo on the buns... but that's up to you.)
If you have leftovers, make a box of Wild/White rice. Add the mixture to it the rice. It's amazing how the flavors blend. YUM!
