Russian Teacakes
  1. Mix thoroughly the butter, confectioner's sugar and vanilla.
  2. Sift together flour and salt. Stir into butter mixture.
  3. Add the nuts.
  4. Chill dough over night.
  5. Preheat oven 400°.
  6. Roll dough into 1" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. (Cookies do not spread.)
  7. Bake until set but not brown, about 10-12 minutes.
  8. While cookies are still, warm roll in powdered sugar.
  9. Let cookies cool and roll in powdered sugar again.

Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies if you make 1" balls.
