- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
- Mix thoroughly the butter, confectioner's sugar and vanilla.
- Sift together flour and salt. Stir into butter mixture.
- Add the nuts.
- Chill dough over night.
- Preheat oven 400°.
- Roll dough into 1" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. (Cookies do not spread.)
- Bake until set but not brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- While cookies are still, warm roll in powdered sugar.
- Let cookies cool and roll in powdered sugar again.
Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies if you make 1" balls.
