- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- dash of pepper - black or red
- 6 lean pork chops
- 1 can beef consommé
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1/2 fresh tomato, sliced
- 1/2 small onion, sliced
- 1/2 small bell pepper, sliced
- Put rice in baking dish and add seasonings.
- Brown porkchops in a skillet.
- Put chops on top of rice. Put slices of tomato, onion and bell pepper in that order on top of chops, and pour undiluted can of consommé over all.
- Bake 350° for 45 minutes, covered.
- Remove cover and bake 10 more minutes.
Note: Can leave off last three ingredients, and it's still good!
