- 1 lb loaf frozen bread dough
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 6 oz pkg pepperoni, chopped
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning (or oregano)
- 1 beaten egg (to seal & glaze)
- Thaw dough and allow to rise as per package directions. Divide dough in half.
- Turn dough out onto floured surface. Roll into two 10" circles.
- Combine egg and Parmesan/Romano cheese. Spread over each circle. Sprinkle with pepperoni, mozzarella, and Italian seasoning.
- Roll, jelly-roll style, from long side, tucking in and sealing edges with egg.
- Place loaves seam-side down on greased baking sheets. Add 2 tablespoons water to remainder of egg, and brush tops and sides of bread loaves.
- Allow loaves to set, away from any draft, for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
Better served hot, but also good cold. Freezes well.
