- 1/2 lb shrimp
- 12 oz oysters (reserve liquid)
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- Salt & cayenne to taste
- 1/2 cup Half & Half cream
- Boil shrimp for 2 minutes. Remove and peel, devein and set aside.
- Put oyster liquid in a small saucepan; add oysters and cook about 2 minutes, till edges curl. Drain and reserve liquid.
- Put oysters in with shrimp.
- Melt butter and add flour, salt and cayenne, stirring till smooth. Add oyster liquid and enough Half & Half to make a 'medium white sauce' consistency.
- Add half of bread crumbs and green onions. Stir in the shrimp and oysters.
- Put mixture into lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle remainder of bread crumbs over top.
- Bake at 350° for approximately 25 minutes, until mixture is bubbly and crumbs are lightly browned.
