- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup white Karo syrup (Corn syrup)
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Mix sugar, soda, milk and syrup in heavy cooking utensil, and let it reach soft ball stage.
- Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat long enough to drop from spoon, and don't get discouraged - this takes about 10 minutes.
- Add pecans and drop on waxed paper. You'll have to work quickly, so it won't get too hard to drop from spoon.
