Country Style Apple Pie

Pastry:

Filling:

  1. Prepare the dough and roll to half-again as large as the pizza pan (the excess will fold over to make the top). Lay pastry over the pan.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of Sugar. Combine the rest with the almonds and flour. Sprinkle half the mixture over the 'pan' portion of the pastry.
  3. Arrange the Apple slices in a single layer over the mixture. Sprinkle with Cranberries, then sprinkle remainder of sugar mixure over top. Dot with butter.
  4. Fold the pastry over the filling and brush with Light Cream.
  5. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375° and bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Cool on a rack and dust with icing sugar
