- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 lb bacon, chopped (I cut with scissors)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 can lima beans, undrained
- 1 can kidney beans, undrained
- 1 can pork & beans, undrained
- Brown ground beef and bacon in a large skillet. Add onion and cook until tender.
- Pour off excess drippings. Add brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and stir in beans and liquid.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
Serves 6-8 as an entree.
This is great to take to a hunting camp or to a pot-luck supper. (I serve it at home with mashed potatoes.)
