- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- Mix sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Divide into 3 equal sections.
- Shape each section into rolls, about 1 1/2" in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate at least 4 hours but no longer than 6 weeks.
- Heat oven to 400°.
- Cut rolls into 1/8" slices. Place about 1" apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes.
- Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
