- 1 pint oysters
- salt, pepper to taste
- dash of cayenne
- 2 green onions, finely snipped
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
- Spray baking dish, sprinkle lightly with flour.
- Place in the dish half of oysters in their juice. Sprinkle oysters with seasonings and all of green onions. Top with bread crumbs; dot with half of butter.
- Repeat with another layer of oysters, seasoning and crumbs; dot with butter.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes.
