Apple-Date Cake
  1. Beat eggs well and add sugar and oil.
  2. Add dry ingredients, alternating with apples, nuts, dates.
  3. Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (test for doneness) in tube pan which has been heavily greased and floured.

This is a very stiff batter, as there are NO liquids. Top of cake is hard and crusty - inside is very moist. Dust with powdered sugar.
