- 4 Tbsp butter
- 4 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups cheese, grated (for Cheese Sauce)
- Melt butter in a double boiler.
- Add flour and salt, stirring until blended.
- Stirring constantly, slowly add milk until a smooth paste is formed.
- Melt in grated cheese (if making Cheese Sauce).
