- Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms
- 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped onion or green onion
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Remove stems from mushroom and set aside caps.
- Chop stems.
- Sauté onions and chopped stems in the butter until tender. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and bacon.
- Sprinkle mushroom caps with salt and fill caps with bacon and cheese mixture.
- Place in shallow baking pan and bake for 15 minutes in a 400°F oven.
Prepare Ahead of Time: Prepare mushrooms and place in baking pan. Refrigerate covered until ready to put in the oven.
- Mozzarella Stuffed Mushrooms
- 25 fresh mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 3 Tbsp parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Remove stems from mushrooms.
- Combine garlic, bread crumbs, cheeses, butter, parsley and salt in bowl.
- Stuff mushrooms with mixture and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 to 15 minutes.
