- 1/2 lb green fettucini noodles
- 1/2 lb regular fettucini noodles
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 1/4 lb prosciutto, finely minced (can use very thin ham)
- 1 can tiny green peas, drained
- 1 cup Half & Half cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese, grated
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Cook noodles in boiling, salted water until al dente. Drain well. Transfer to well-buttered 2-quart baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Melt butter in medium saucepan; add prosciutto and sauté 3 minutes. Reduce heat, stir in peas, cream, half the Parmesan and nutmeg and blend well.
- Pour over noodles in baking dish and toss. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake about 10 minutes, uncovered.
