- 3-4 large red potatoes
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
- 3-4 green onions, cut diagonally
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 cup grated cheese
- Peel and slice potatoes in thin rounds.
- Melt butter in large skillet. Add a layer of potatoes, seasoning, cheese, green onions, and 1/4 cup hot water;
- Repeat layers.
- Cover tightly and cook on medium-low heat for about 25 minutes.
