- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp flour
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/3 cup rum
- Place butter, brown sugar and flour in saucepan. Blend thoroughly and add boiling water.
- Cook over low heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
Excellent on bread pudding.
