Chocolate-Orange Shortbread
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
  2. Stir together flour and powdered sugar.
  3. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs and begins to cling together. Stir in chocolate pieces and orange peel.
  4. Form into a ball and knead until smooth.
  5. Shape into 1 1/4" balls. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Using the bottom of a glass, dip into the granulated sugar and flatten each ball to 1/2" thickness.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until the bottoms just start to brown.
  8. Cool on the sheet for 1 minute.
  9. Remove cookies and cool on a wire rack.
