Bakinig Powder Biscuits
  1. Mix dry ingredients. Work in shortening with fingers or pastry mixer.
  2. Add milk gradually, mixing with a knife to make a soft dough.
  3. Knead gently on a floured board for a few minutes and roll gently to 1/4 inch. Cut with cookie cutter and place on a greased cookie sheet. Pierce with a fork.
  4. Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.

Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
