- 2 pkg ladyfingers (found in freezer section near pastry shells usually)
- 1 large box French Vanilla instant pudding mix
- 1 pkg (16 oz) frozen raspberries (OR) strawberries, with juice
- 1 largest size Cool Whip + 1 small Cool Whip
- 1/4 cup rum or dry sherry (opt.)
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced (OR) 1 pint raspberries, whole
- Mix pudding mix as directed on package. Thaw berries and Cool Whip.
- Separate ladyfingers (they are pre-split). Make one 'round' vertically along side of trifle bowl, and in bottom of bowl.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 of the rum or sherry (if using).
- Put 1/2 of the pudding in bowl; top with berries, 1/2 of large Cool Whip, and fresh berries.
- Make another 'round' of the ladyfingers going UP the sides of the bowl, and on top of berries.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with the small container of Cool Whip. Chill several hours before serving.
