Craftyd - Virginia
Chicken Chit has arrived in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
He jumped out of the box, saw the ceiling fans in every room and immediately started saying, "Eh, when can I get a ride on that fan?" It was rather cute at first but then the 'eh' got very annoying...... sorry Deni! I am teaching him to say "Ya'll"!!
He noticed my 2 fur babies and started chasing them around the house in hopes they would play with him. Boots nor Midnight would have no part of that. He seemed to be exhausted after his trip and all the ceiling rides, so I settled him down for some much needed rest. I will post more of his adventures later. I hope to take him to work with me tomorrow. DH said he may take him to the go cart track and DD may even give him some ballet lessons...... try to introduce him to dance. If the weather permits, he will be spending the weekend by the pool.

Snow White - Wisconsin
Chit has arrived in cold, windy Wisconsin.
I get this huge box yesterday from Niki and I'm thinking.... I'm not in any swaps, Niki and I haven't chatted, I couldn't remember buying anything on the swap forum..... what could this be??
Once I ripped the top open....... there he was in all his glory!
Haven't had time to go through everything yet but am thinking of some adventures to take him on. I'm sure Granndy C will help with this.
Now I need to figure out how to post pictures.

The Chicken has landed...
Chicken Chit landed safely on Vancouver Island this morning. He will be making a ferry trip to the Mainland tomorrow with Hans and I. Then it's a week of fun for chit in Vancouver, BC! We have big plans for Chit... he'll learn all about Journalism and making Radio with me... maybe travel to the Coca-Cola plant with Hans... then off to our favourite hot spots in town! I just hope the silly bird behaves.

Well guess what??????? CHIT Yes you're right
I told DH to please put out the garbage. . . . So out the back door he goes and to my surprise he brings in a box and i begin to wonder who it is from and why would anyone be sending me anything. Well i opened it up and OMG it CHIT himself in the flesh if you know what i mean. The other chickens and roosters are excited as he will be visiting with them for a few days (the ones in my kitchen). But poor Chit was nearly froze and i had to wrap him in a blanket to get him warm and make sure he would survive that mail man leaving him outside and not yelling for us. Poor Chit could not ring the door bell 'cause he was taped up in the box but the mail man could have but now he's just warm and snuggly with all his new friends. I will keep you updated on his adventures and oh i almost forgot tomorrow he will get to see and visit with the real ones in the garage that DH made a house for them insulated better than our house so i will let you know how he makes up with them.

Chicken Chit has landed in Scarborough!
DH & I went to the Kitchener and Waterloo area today to go to the Flea/Farmer's Market. While we were out, Diezy brough Chicken Chit over to spend a week with me. I'm sorry I wasn't home when he arrived.
I cannot believe all the "stuff" that Chicken Chit has acquired on his travels. I think his wardrobe is bigger than mine! I will have to go down to the storage room in the basement and dig out my DD's old doll cradle and the bedding so that he will have a place to sleep tonight. I'm sure that Chicken Chit and I will have a lot of fun together this week.

Diezy - Ontario, Canada
I have Chicken Chit!!!
I just told Dh!!! I said " Guess what I found on the front porch this morning"? He says "I don't know, what"? I said "Chicken Chit". He gives me a strange look and says " You found chicken sh*t on our front porch"? I started laughing and said Chicken Chit a lot slower and he realized what it was. We live in the city so what would a real chicken be doing on our porch???!!!!

Sassie - Nova Scotia, Canada
Chit has arrived & just in time to help finish decorate the Christmas tree.... Boy won't we have fun! Sure hope his wings are clipped.
He sure is a delightful little fellow..... just had to sleep with Sassy & Heidi last night & all the wonderful things he has collected! I love looking at it all.
It is calling for snow so now maybe he can go Ski-dooing instead of just driving our GD little Jeep.... I can see this is going to be a fun week. Love that Chit.

Babygirl1 - Nova Scotia, Canada
Chit is one little bugger!! You would think after a trip he would want to rest for a couple of days..... but oh no!!!! Not CHIT! He wanted to play with the boys!!!!
Tomorrow we are going up to Grammie Jan's to work for a couple of hours.... I am going to teach him how to use the cash!!! and he can do my job!!!
Anyway I thought I would let you all know that Chit is having a ball and will be on his way for another journey on Friday or Saturday!

Ta da....guess who arrived?
Chicken chit. What a surprise. The puppies tore out and I could hear all this barking ... then knock, knock, on the door. I go to the back door and there is this lady saying 'I am delivering chicken'??? and mentioned Debi's name. I thought why would Debi be sending me chicken? Then she said again 'I am hand delivering chicken chit'. Oh, this is Kathy! Now I know as she gives me this box. She rushed off to her home for dinner.
The puppies are following me inside and I pulled Chicken Chit and said look who's arrived, puppies. Next thing I know Jambo has chicken chit by the neck in his mouth and I realized what was happening and said oh, no, you can't do that. They were very disappointed that I put him away out of their reach.
What a collection of things in the box, I will have to go through it all and see what is in there. Wow, he doesn't travel light does he?
I can just see my parents reaction when I show them chicken chit, they will say 'What? You guys are crazy.' Yes, we may be but we are having fun doing it, right?

Here come da Chit......
Just a quick note to let everyone that there was a box from Debi Webi sitting inside my door when I arrived home this evening! Chit looks very elegant in his new tuxedo... he must have known that we are very formal at this house.
We haven't had much a chance to become aquainted yet as I was home for 10 minutes between meetings and have just arrived home again at 10 pm and will be off to bed now.
Tomorrow, he will begin his daily trek to school... gotta do some book learnin' now Chit!!!

Chit lands on Canadian Soil!
But he almost didn't make it here. I got the card in the mail to go and pick him up but the card didn't have my name on it. It had my address but with Marti's last name on it. I needed to go to the post office for an American stamp and just happened to have the lady look it up. She says for "Debi Webi??" I laugh and say "yeah that's me."
Anyways he is safe and sound. He mentioned to me that he was dying to try the Truly maple cookies and begged me to take him to Zellers. So we did. A Zellers employee . . . was willing to help chit find his cookies.
He has also done a few more things already and I will make a page later for all his pictures. You know me and my camera! LOL

Chit!! Now this IS a surprise.....
...since I never signed up to be on the list!! Sure looks like he's been having fun though and since he's here..... well, we'll figure something out!!
Cotton, that little hat stayed on him the entire trip from Mississippi and by the condition of the box, I'd say is was SOME trip!! Chit actually arrived late yesterday afternoon but I never got around to even looking at the box til today!! I know, I know...... bad chit-mama, bad chit-mama!
Poor Chit! That trip from Mississippi really must have worn him out...... not to mention he was a bit 'crushed'!! Everything is in fine working order though so he wanted to go out and play with the girls.
Dang, couldn't keep that silly bird out of the boat. He loves the pond. Wore himself right out so he had to take a short siesta in the hammock then another one with one of the 7 dwarfs under some mushrooms. Course, then he had to come in and primp in front of the mirror.
Hmmm, come to think about it, it's awfully quiet in here. Guess I'd better go and find out what that little stinker is up to now!! If he behaves himself tonight, we just might take him with us to the county fair tomorrow......MIGHT!

That little CHIT has hit the south!
The mailman arrived with a big (!) box about an hour ago. It's taken me this long to go thru everything. OMG, he doesn't travel light, does he?
I'm SO SO SO SO happy to have Chit here; altho he was pantin' and sweating', not to mention swearin' - to get outta that box! He now knows what it's like in Mississippi in July!
He's feeling pretty tired right now, and I think he and Sugarcane are taking a little nappette... much to Sugar's dismay. We have big plans! This aftn, we'll go down to the river, and from there...... who knows?
Oh... I have Chit! I have Chit! I have Chit! Happy days are here again....

Chicken Chit arrived in MD last night!
Hey Chicken Chit is finally here! You see Chit cooled off and after saying bye to his buddies at Reptile Land, he hitched another ride.
On a car going to Maryland.
After being on the road so long by himself... he wants to know where we are going to visit this week. I told him we definately have plans. Chit was most excited about that.
Chit said "I am a happy Chit!"

CHICKEN CHIT HAS ARRIVED!
I got home from work just in time to greet the mailman at my kitchen door. "Here's your mail, and here's this", he said, as he handed me a package. I thought the package was probably from one of my kids in AZ so I said, "I'll take it!"
After exchanging pleasantries with the mailman and bringing it inside, I looked at the return address and it was from Terri. I screamed out 'Chicken Chit'!! I knew the mailman thought I said chicken ***t bcz he quickened his step away from the door! LOL!
Terri, you did a wonderful job of packing Chit and all his belongings! I like the business card & pen you included for a subsequent "beauty do" for him! He'll need it after his visit with me bcz starting tomorrow he'll be helping me in the garden. I'm taking him shopping tomorrow for a cherry tree and a plum tree at the nursery.... in the rain that's forecasted! Poor dear! I'll make sure he has an umbrella & rain gear!
This is So cool!!

The Arrival
A hard day at work
Can't wait to get home
I'll kick off my shoes
And unplug the phone
I pull in the driveway
And what do I see
A wonderful package
just waiting for me
I wasn't expecting
A treasure today
So it can't be an auction
I won at ebay
hmmmmmmm......I start thinking
Now what CAN that be
Dare I hope it's my turn
For Chit's visit with me
I felt a small tingle
I jumped from the car
Ripped open the package
And said... THERE YOU ARE!
The Chit has arrived
At my house today
We're ready for action
We're off and away...

Woo Hoo!!! Chicken Chit is here!!!
Came home from work today and saw a package on the counter. Thought maybe it was my SV gift... but the name wasn't right. Heard some 'scratching' inside and though... could it be???? Ripped the box open and sure enough... there he was... all dressed up and ready for fun and frolic in St. Catharines!! Not sure my dogs and cats know what to make of him, but they'll adjust!! I'll take some pictures a little later and post!
Party time!!!!
(posted by Ernie)
At about 12:30 yesterday afternoon, Debi, Diezy, Sparkles and I were sitting in my living room when there was this God awful noise coming from the front door! I opened the door and Chicken Chit flew in skis and all. It's a good thing my floor is linoleum and easy to clean. I greeted him with a hug and then made him take off his skis. Janice was right behind him and there was lots of hugging and time for a bit of talking. I moved on to my kitchen to prepare lunch which consisted of a shrimp ring from Debi, M & M Meat shop's chicken bits and bites from Janice, Caesar Salad from Sparkles, Chicken noodle soup from Campbell's (and me) Dinner rolls and sliced ham and roast beef provided by me and Diezy brought the "Official CC Cheesecake" for dessert. Chicken Chit was not impressed over the chicken soup and made a bit of a fuss over that, but I just told him if he didn't shut up, the next pot of soup I made would have him in it! He quieted down after that remark. We had a nice lunch and spent most of the afternoon talking and laughing, talking and laughing some more. We then went outside so Chicken Chit could go skiing on the pile of snow at the side of my driveway. I'm not sure what the neighbours thought of it but frankly, I don't really care! Janice and Debi brought their Digital cameras and took pics which I'm sure they will post here to share with all of you. We also took some pics of the 5 of us in my living room. Unfortunately DH & DS were not home, so we had to take turns taking the pics.

Kay CT - Connecticut
Well, the Chit has arrived safe (kinda) and sound in Connecticut. Dirty little booger isn't he? He wouldn't let me give him a bath, said he's too shy. Yeah right!! Caught the little perve peeking under the shower curtain while I was in there, so I threw him outside in the snow to cool off!! You should hear the commotion he's kicking up! Don't worry all you Chit lovers out there, I won't let him stay out there too long! As soon as the oven (yes! I have one and I know how to use it) is heated up I'll thaw him out. Anyone got a timer? Wouldn't want to leave him in there too long!! I think it's all set to go, better go bring him in.....

Chicken Chit arrived here in Baltimore just in time for dinner. We had subs and he really loved the fries.
He got quite the inspection from the dogs who didn't quite know what to make of him. He was very polite during the whole thing. Such a gentleman.
Dust Bunny, he looks so handsome in his sweater.

Dust Bunny - Illinois
Chicken Chit arrived at my house yesterday afternoon. He was cold and hungry. DS put his sweater on him right away and I fixed him a cup of hot chocolate and we looked at the pictures and postcards and he told us of all his fun travels. He has had some wonderful times and met some wonderful people.
He started rooting through my fridge for something to eat and made me throw away the buffalo wings I had leftover in there. He seen the beer in the fridge and insisted on having a beer with his dinner. He said he is over 21???????? I wasn't so sure but we let him anyway being he wouldn't be driving anywhere. We had spaghetti for dinner and afterwards DS said that even though Chit is a guest, he should have to help with dishes. So he washed.
I wasn't feeling very well today, I told him he could come along with me to clean my houses I clean. I made him his very own feather duster and I had a heck of time convincing him that it was ostrich feathers not chicken feathers.
He is pretty tired after a long day of hard work. What a sweety he was. Knowing I wasn't feeling well he did most of the work today. He said his past hosts taught him a thing or two on how to clean. He said he expecially loves to clean fan lights???????? He worked hard today So right now he is napping. I am going to treat him to some yummy hot buttered popcorn later and a movie. His choice.
I'll keep everyone posted on our adventures. Wish he would have came during the summer, we do more fun things then. But we will find some fun things to do while he is here. He was looking out my front bay window and seen the hill and ALL the snow and asked if he could go sledding. I said maybe tomorrow Jared would take him. He seems like he is going to be an easy guest to entertain. Well I better get dinner, DH, DS and Chit are hungry.

Chicken Chit says hello.Wants everyone to know he's having a wild wild time with Handmaiden!! He may never go home!! He's been everywhere!! Lake Mead, gambling, Vegas shows, dinner, on a airplane from Vegas, to Toronto, again from Toronto to Halifax, met Joseph his Flamingo Buddy, and all the other Leopard Room friends, viewed the El Rancho falling down right before his eyes. Audry - Las Vegas 'Get-Together'
DeeWi was not able to attend ... but sent Chicken Chit instead!!!! (In fact, we think Chicken Chit is still doing the mamba with Handmaiden after he had a few margaritas and jello shooters!) Chicken Chit also wants Handmaiden's thong. His comb is slowly working its way up the back of Handmaidens bikini... and he keeps mumbling something about Lucky 28! For some reason Chicken Chit keeps running around screaming "Choke Me, Choke Me", and Handmaiden is running after him, but he keeps slipping through her fingers....

I Regret to inform you --- Chicken Chit is being treated for shock, is on IV's but resting comfortably. I really hate to be the harbinger of bad news but he arrived in Wisconsin again, this time being brought by the mailman who was looking kind of shell-shoocked. Let me tell you what happened.
I was cooking dinner and heard quite a commotion at the front door. The mailman had my mail along with this brown bubble package that was moving, as though *someone* or *something* was thrashing about. I could hear muffled shrieks sounding like "emmeeee out... elpppp emme out" and the mailman was holding the bag as gingerly as possible. He also commented... "Lady I think something strange is going on with this package... and by the way, you sure must be cooking something great! Smells good! " (more shrieks from the bag. I brought it into the house and opened it up and came face to face with a hyperventilating Chit, shrieking at the top of his little lungs.
You guessed it! I happened to be making *chicken* for dinner! Well the more I tried to calm down the *Chit* the more distressed he became, until I had no choice but to call 911. Blood pressure sky-rocketed and then plummeted to an all time low. IV'S administered, smelling salts, and complete bed rest. Update as news develops. (Tried giving him some chicken soup... sigh just was not thinking.) He keeps calling for "Mimi.... mimmi... meeeeemeeeeeeeee"

Sparkles - Ontario, Can
I got home from work and noticed something out of the ordinary. It was C.C. The first thing I did was call Debi Webi to let her know that I had a visitor, and would you believe she couldn't even guess who my visitor was!!!!
Oh well since he has been here my DS hasn't stop taking him everywhere. So far he has met some of the neighbours and played in the park and gone swimming. WOW!!!! More than I do in an afternoon. I've taken pictures and intend to take alot more. I can't wait to get them back so I can show everyone.
C.J has taken control of him and won't let him to far out of his site. So, considering he is only 5 yrs. old C.C will have a calmer time in Canada this time. Sorry Deni.

I have been in Sacramento training, since August 8. I got home yesterday and there Chicken Chit was, just happy as a chicken can be, to see me. We are going to have soooo much fun!! Can't wait to get started.
My daughter had let him out of his travling container and let him have the run of the house. My cats tolerate him, but he keeps one eye on the aquarium...we may have to talk.

It was an ordinary day until the mail came. A chill went up my spine. The kind of chill you get when you first realize you've won the lottery (been there, done that). But this chill was followed by the warmth of friendship, CC style. Yes, the Chit is here!!
So, as I settled him in to the bird guest room, Chit looks up & says, 'Nice fan,eh?' 'Let's get one thing straight...' I said. 'I've got 3 very impressionable boys who don't know about ceiling fans yet. Deni may have let you run the show over there but you're at MY house now & you need to set a good example.' He grumbled sarcastically, 'Oh, we're gonna have loads of fun, eh?' 'Don't talk back to ME, boy. And while we're at it, everyone around here carries their own weight. Lucky for you, you don't weigh all that much. So what kind of chores can you do?' 'Chores, eh?... Deni didn't make me do any chores.' Looking sternly at the Chit, I say, 'You're not in Canada anymore, little chicken. I think you can start in the garden.'.... 'The garden,eh?'....'and stop saying 'eh'...that's really getting on my nerves'......

Deni - Ontario, Canada
Chicken Chit is officially a Canucklehead like myself!! He arrived this afternoon and I've had nothing but trouble so far. First of all, the police and bomb squad were waiting there for me, wondering what what could possibly be making all that racket inside a package from the United States... A quick trip to the little chicken's room and he was off for a nap. I'll let him sleep for awhile and then we'll decide what we're going to do for the next week or so. Sam doesn't pay Chicken Chit much mind. Welcome to Canada, Chicken Chit!
