PRINCIPALS' MESSAGE
The Canadian School Of India, the International School
in Bangalore, was opened in January 1997 to meet the demand for quality
education leading to university admission. There are classes offered from
Montessori Pre-School and Kindergarten to University Entrance.
Our vision as Co-principals is to foster a strong
academic tradition, exciting co-curricular activities including clubs and
sport teams and high parental involvement, all within the context of a
'family feeling' at the school.
With over twenty-three nationalities in our
student body, we offer a culturally rich environment for learning. Student
initiative and leadership are encouraged along with community partnerships
such as with the Nehru Institute for Advanced Scientific Research, Nortel
and Apple Computers.
Art, Drama and Music are important parts of
our curriculum because we believe that it is important to balance the emphasis
on Math, Science, and Computers in today's emerging global community.
We believe that international standards of
education are evolving that prepare students to be change agents, creative
thinkers and ecologically sensitive citizens. We believe the Canadian School
of India is in the forefront of this stimulating educational paradigm shift,
and we are making application to the International Baccalaureate Organization
to offer the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Program, and later the Middle
Years Program.
Our hostel accommodations are clean and modern to
suit the needs of students and parents. We wish to acknowledge the
tremendous contribution of our Parent Teacher Association in the development
of our fine school program.
