“Aj? Where’s Cassandra?” Denise asked her son
“She took the bus.” Aj mumbled
“What? Aj I told you to pick her up! Now why is she taking the bus?” Denise almost started screaming when Cassandra walked in.
“I took the bus because I didn’t want to incovience him so I told him to do his own thing and I’ll take the bus. He of course disagreed but I convinced, so please Ms. Mclean, don’t be mad at him, it wasn’t his fault. It was mine.” Cassandra said.
“Ok, as long as you’re o.k. My how you’ve grown! Wow, you look beautiful!” Denise exclaimed and gave Cassandra a hug. Aj was just a little dumbstuck.
“Did she just defend me?” Aj thought to himself.
“Ms. Mclean, I was hoping I could lay down a bit, I’m really tired from the flight.” Cassandra asked
“Yes of course, it’s upstairs, the first door on the right.” Denise said and gave Cassandra another hug. Cassandra went to her room and layed down. The plane ride took a lot out of her. Then she heard someone knock on the door.
“Come in!” Cassandra called. Then Aj walked in.
“Yes?” Cassandra asked and looked at the ceiling
“Um, can I ask you a question? Why did you just defend me?” He asked
“Well, first that was 2 questions, and second I just told the truth.” She said calmly
“Your not supposed to tell the truth with me! You hate me remember?” Aj exclaimed.
“So what if I do? AJ, like I told you before, I’m 20 years old, I’m not 13. Aj, I grew up, maybe you should try it.” She said and walked out of the room
