They played for 3 hours. Nikki winning 2 games, while Aaron won one. When they were walking back, both of them were chatting away. Totally forgetting that before they were arch enemies.

“You ain’t that bad in b-ball.” Aaron complimented. Nikki beamed.

“Thanks, I used to play on my school team, but I dropped out.”

“Why?”

“I had to focus on my studies. I spent so much time with basketball I hardly did my schoolwork or anything. The sad thing is I still got B’s because my teachers knew I was a good basketball player so they just gave me the grades.” Nikki looked down.

“You really liked basketball huh?” He asked. Nikki nodded her head.

“But it’s ok, it’s better this way.” She said softly. Aaron felt bad, but he didn’t say anything about it. They continued walking home when Aaron decided to break the silence.

“You wanna go to the beach?” He asked. She saw how shy he was, and couldn’t help but smile.

“Sure” So they walked to the beach and sat on the sand. Nikki looked out to the ocean, while Aaron looked at her.
