“Hi! My name’s Nikki! What’s yours?” Nikki greeted cheerfully to the new boy. Aaron looked up and felt his insides turn.

“Wow, what beautiful eyes! Wait a sec, no! You are not going to do this, remember, you decided to hate all girls! You won’t let yourself be hurt again!” Aaron scolded himself and gave Nikki an evil look.

“It’s none of your business.” Aaron snapped and looked down again. Nikki raised her eyebrows.

“Sorry for being friendly.” She mumbled.

“Well, I don’t need you to be friendly, I need you to go away so I can be happy.” Aaron grumbled.

“Whatever.” Nikki scoffed and walked away. “What the hell is the matter with him?” She thought and walked away.

Later after school

“Nikki! Come on, we’re going to Jane’s house!” Crystal called to her daughter. Nikki slumped down the stairs.

“What the matter hun?” Crystal asked.

“There was this boy at school, I tried to be friendly and he just gave me this attitude.”

“This boy must be special if you’re upset.”

“What! No, I hate him! If he wants to be that way, let him! I don’t need him!” She exclaimed. Crystal shook her head.

“Ok, let’s go.” She said and they drove off to Jane’s.
