Brian just sat there holding me, he knew he was going to end up falling for me, but he didn't care at that point, he just wanted me to be ok.
"Kat?"
"Yeah?"
"I forgot to say something to you."
"What?"
"Thank you."
"Thank you for what?"
"Thank you for saving my sister."
I was quiet; I didn't know what to say so I just sat there. Finally I spoke.
"We better get back to the hospital."
"Yeah, come on."
He got up and gave out his hand to help me up. I took it and we walked to his car and drove to the hospital.
We walked in and walked to Sam's room. I saw Sam and Brian's parents in the waiting room. I walked in with Brian in back of me. Jackie saw me first. She jumped out of her seat and ran towards me a put her arms around me and hugged me sooooooo tight. I hugged her back and she started crying. She was always like my second mother.
"Oh my god Kat, are you ok?" She asked
"Yeah, I'm ok, how's Sam?"
" She's going nuts, she's really worried about you, she thought something happened to you."
"I better go see her."
Jackie nodded and I left to Sam's room. I saw her there, laying down and staring at the ceiling.
"Hey Sam."
She looked towards the door and saw me and started crying. I ran over to her and held her there.
"Oh my gosh, I thought something happened to you." She whispered
"Nope, just got scared and went to think."
"Did Brian find you?"
"Yep."
"I can't believe this happened, I can't believe I almost died."
"I know, it took me a while before I realized it."
"I can't believe you saved my life."
"Sam don't…."
"No, you did. And I thank you so much, and I'm so happy you're my best friend."
"Well, the pleasures all mine."
She grinned a little and said, "My best friend that is going to go out with my brother."
I gave her a dirty look but couldn't help but smile a bit.
"In your dreams, actually, my dreams."
We both laughed and then Jackie and Harold, Harold Jr. and Brian came into the room.
"What's so funny?" Brian asked
I blushed a little
"Nothing" I said
He looked at me and Sam.
"Whatever."
We all talked for about an hour when finally we had to go home, well… me and Brian did but the rest stayed for the night.
