"Get it! Stat!" Is the next thing that Heather remembered, in the
emergency room at the hospital.
"Brian? Brian? Brian!" Heather screamed, searching for the one she loved.
"Brian!"
"Doctor, she's awoken. What shall I do?" A nurse asked on one side.
"Give her some medicine! She shall not be awaken while we bandage!" The
doctor said, snapping his fingers.
"I don't need to be bandaged! I'm fine! I want...to see...Brian!" Heather
said, trying to pull out of the hands of the doctor and nurses.
"Let...me...go!"
"No! Hurry! Medicine! Now! Medicine, now! Hurry!" The doctor kept
screaming.
"Let me go! I want to see Brian! Let me go! Brian! Brian!" Heather kept
screaming, scared of what she might find out.
"He's in the next room..." Another nurse said, noticing that Heather wanted
to know he was OK. "He has a sevre bump on his head, but, nothing major...I
believe."
"Thank goodness." Heather said, slumping down and giving in to the doctor
and nurses. "The others!" Heather said, bolting straight up again.
"They're in other rooms. They are the same." The nurse said, in a
soothing, calming voice. "They're OK."
"Are you sure?" Heather belted out.
"I'm sure." The nurse said.
Suddenly, they must have given Heather a shot because, everything went
black again.
Heather awoke to being next to Brian in the same room, hearing the "Beep,
Beep, beep." of the machine.
"Brian?" Heather asked, reaching over and touching him. "What happened
last night? I don't remember a thing."
"I don't know...I don't remember, either." Brian said.
"I have a headache." AJ said from across the room. "I want some
Ty-len-ol!"
Heather couldn't help but give a budge of a smile. AJ was good to have
around in times like these.
"I'll take some of that." Heather said, lifting her hand up. She noticed
that her hand felt heavier than usual, and then looked at it. There was
some kind of tape on it. She tore the tape off, and there was a little note
on it.
'The beginning has just begun.' it read.
"Brian! Brian!" Heather squawked, wanting him to reply.
"What?" Brian asked.
"Ahhhh!" Heather screamed, throwing the tape towards Brian.
"What is it?" Brian asked, picking the tape up and reading it. "Oh, this
is nice."
"Yeah, but isn't it?" Heather asked.
"What is it?" Kevin asked.
"It's a note. It's about last night." Brian said, shrugging and throwing
it to the floor.
"Early Christmas present, Heather?" Kevin asked.
"If those are presents, I don't want them." Heather said, shaking in fear.
"Cold?" AJ asked, looking at Heather.
"No...scared. Hey, where's Howie anyways?" Heather asked, looking around.
"He's in the next room. This couldn't fit us all in." AJ said.
"Oh." Heather said, putting her hand to her head, and holding it there.
"My head...it's killing me."
"Cry baby." AJ said, smirking.
"Wah, wah." Heather said, pretending to cry like a baby.
"So how are my favorite patients?" The doctor asked, coming in.
AJ felt a tingle go down his spine, and felt weird by his voice. He
twitched and turned, and couldn't seem to be comfortable. There was
something about his voice that reminded him of last night; but what?
"I'm fine." Kevin said, chirping up.
"Mr. Richardson! I see that you are up and at it! How are you?" The
doctor asked, sending more and more spine tingles through AJ.
"Have I met you before?" AJ asked the doctor, getting the nerve to speak
up.
"Huh? Oh, I believe we have." The doctor said.
"May I ask...when?" AJ asked, scared to hear the reply.
"Sure you can! I'll tell you when!" The doctor said, looking and smiling
at AJ.
AJ just sat there, heart beating, thump, thump, thump.
"Last night." The doctor said.
