Here is the infamous Haro Lever.
Devised by one of the originators of freestyle, Bob
Haro, this brake lever became one of the most popular ever!
Take a look at the image above. The three bolts that hold the lever to the base were removable. After breaking or getting tired
of the flex, kids would remove the lever from the base, take a Dia-compe lever/base, drill out the rivet that holds the Dia-compe lever to it's
base and then stick the Haro Lever into the Dia-compe base so you would have an aluminum base with a Haro
Lever in it.
The image on the left is a Haro Lever
in it's original packaging, a yellow lever, blue base, two counter sunk
allen screws, two nuts and the third srew/nut combo is holding the lever/base
together.
If you had broken your Haro Lever within one year of owning it all you had to do was send the broken lever with a check for $1.50 for the return shipping and you would get a new one.
If you would like to see the back side of the original packaging which has directions on how to install the Haro Lever,
