Hey, guys. I just got back from a great weekend at Casa Pacifica. That's a cabin near Shaver Lake owned by the college. Highlights included: playing the game "Mafia," some killer snowball fights, and lazy hours spent relaxing by the fire.

It snowed about 8" on Saturday night. But I had the opportunity to spend a little bit of time in the woods alone before that happened. I was reminded once again how powerful our senses are. There is so much to experience in the wilderness beyond what we see!

The huge trees stood like noble, solitary soldiers. Light rain permeated the forest, creating a misty, damp environment. It was beautiful. I wish every one of you could have been there to experience it, but I'm also glad that I was there alone. I know that you, especially, would have loved it, Dad.
