I'm sorry I haven't posted an update in so long! I know that Mike Shinn checks this every once in a while, but I'm not sure if anyone else does. A little info on the Evangel Page that I recently added to my site:
Evangel was an anabaptist missions conference for college-aged folks. I went with a friend to Cincinnati for the 5-day conference, which was really awesome. God worked it out that my entire trip was paid for before I left California. It was a great time to worship with other believers and enjoy being with God. The goal of the conference was not to 'sell' anyone on missions, which is what I expected. Instead, it was a great chance for young people to network, discuss issues in mission, and celebrate the missional nature and calling of the church.
For the last three days of the conference, everyone was organized into outreach teams. We scattered throughout the urban areas of surrounding cities for a few hours in the afternoons. There, we did prayer-walks through the city and performed 'random acts of kindness,' showing the love of God in practical ways. The pictures you see on my website are pictures of the outreach team that I was blessed to spend time with. That's all I have time to write for now! I'll try to post more about my current classes and activities at a later date. Love in Christ,
