My Fanzine - The Stones

e-mail

Back issues of my fanzine "The Stones" (1 thru 21) still available.

Fanzine Reviews:

Hot Wacks Quarterly #14, 1983: The Stones is a new fanzine that primarily reprints clippings about the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band.

Record Collector #113, 1989: THE STONES. Issue 15 (Oct.'88). This is the first time this long established U.S. Rolling Stones publication has reached us. However, it's 22 pages aren't always put to good use - who wants another fantasy about Jimi, Janis, Brian, Elvis and the rest commiserating themselves in a rock'n'roll heaven? Reprints, a Ron Wood tour guide and snippets of info are included, but there's an obvious need for a good U.K. publication. Any takers?

DISCoveries March, 1989: Rolling Stones fans who don't already know about the nifty fanzine, "The Stones," had better drop a note to the editor to request more information. The October issue (#15/1988) is 22 pages of news and notes of interest to Stones fans.

DISCoveries August, 1993: The Stones #20 came out a couple of months ago. This long-time Rolling Stones fanzine continues on with the energy and passion the editor has always shown towards the group. My favorite piece in this issue is an interview from July 1992 with Mick Taylor, conducted in Japan. There's an old Stone who's not seen or heard from often. Reviews, and lots of info about the current goings-on of the group, comprise this good little 'zine. Robert doesn't sell subs, but this issue and many of his back issues are still available also.
