PROFILES (my friends)

This is a very special portion of my web site. I have dedicated this page to my friends. They were the ones who accepted me and made me feel like I was a part of something special. I could never find words enough to express how much that meant to me. I could never find a way to convey my deepest thanks and gratitude for how they helped me. There is no way to repay them for this. I will however do what I can. So, this page contains profiles and comments about some of the people in my life who I hold dear. One of my friends once said, "writing is your thing if you believe it is." Well, I do, so here it goes. I hope I do them all justice.

BRAD BEATTIE

There are so many things to say about Brad, but I suppose I should try and start somewhere. Brad was the first of my group of friends that I met. He was friendly and didn't try to exclude me from anything. Brad is a phenominaly bright person. He is a regular computer genius. He has a wonderful quirky outlook on life and is always deep in thought. The conversations Brad has are always interesting and thought provoking. Whenever I am done talking with him I always feel the need to go sit somewhere and think. Brad is truly a great friend and without him I may never have met any of the other people who have come to mean so much to me.

AMANDA ALEXANDER

Amanda is always warm and friendly and ready to cheer someone up if they need it. She reminds me of a big cuddley teddy bear. (I mean that in the good way) She always sits and listens to what her friends have to say and when it is her turn to speak there is always a sparkle in her eye. She is wonderful to be around and when she smiles you can't help but smile too. The thing that reminds me most about her is a line from the Drew Carey Show that goes: "Hot chocolate always makes you feel better. It's like a big brown hug." That's how I think of Amanda. (Not the big brown part) She always makes those around her feel just as cheery as she is. I'm not sure how anyone can live without that.

SAM MacLEOD

Ah, Samuel MacLeod, of the clan MacLeod, not the Highlander, but still a great guy. Let me say a few things about him. He is part mountain-goat, part explorer, part comedian and an all around drummer and actor. When he learns how to play the guitar (not quitar, Murdle) I am positive that he will be great at that too. Not as great as me, but few people are. Sam is always there when you need him to be. If there is someting you need to talk about he will listen and give suprising insightful feedback. Sam's good points (above) outweigh his bad points (if you ever have to sleep in the same room as him for a week you'll know what I mean) All jokes aside Sam is a super person, who makes mistakes like we all do, but the difference is, he recovers from them gracefully.

JEANETTE HEDLEY

I haven't seen much of Jeanette or "Jani" (pronounced Janeye) lately, but I still remember what she looks like. I think... She has the best of both worlds, she is wonderfully creative, but at the same time she is also serious and organized. Or at least that is how she appears to me. Jeanette is a fab actress, singer, dancer, writer and musician. If you need a person to personify the world of the arts than stop right now, because you've found her. Jeanette is a happy, fun person, so long as you don't bother her when she is trying to sleep or make her nervous on an airplane. She is also the world's second foremost authority on minibus packing. She can always be counted on and she'll never let you down. "... the answer is blowing in the wind" and it's name is Jeanette.

GLENN CLIFTON

I also haven't seen Glenn in a while, since he's been of to university in Ottawa. He is a fantastic writer. Plays, short stories anything that involves writing he can do it. I used to aspire to be the next Stephen King, but now I want to be the next Glenn Clifton. (I know, I know, shoot for atainable goals) Since Glenn has been away everyone has missed him and his wonderful philisophical quotes. They always make me think. (I think he and Brad plot together to come up with things to make me think, but I'll discuss that later) Whenever I have a problem I can tell Glenn about it and he won't judge me or ridcule me, he will try and help and give me his honest oppinion. That is one of the things I value most in the world. Liberated hair aside, Glenn is going to go far in this world and I consider myself lucky to one day be able to say "I knew him."

AMBER "Murdle" WARDELL

I will begin by saying the following things about Murdle:

Murdle is not a turtle, she does not like the hurdles, she looks good in purple, she shares her clothes with Sam.

Now that Sam has been humiliated on the internet, back to Amber. What can I say about Amber? She is warm and thoughtful and caring. She is always there with a reassuring hug or a friendly word. There are only a few people that I wish that I was realted to, Amber is one of them. It would be absoulutley grand to have her for a sister or a cousin. So long as she didn't pull me in the water after her that is. There is one word that will sum up Amber/Murdle, let's hope I can spell it right. The word is: Delectable. Need I say more. (For more information on Murdle, please see the Murdle Song, located on the "songs" page of this web site)

DANIEL POULIN

Daniel is weird. Not weird in a bad way, but in a good one. He is very outgoing and creative and he is also quite a character. There is no real way to describe the way that Daniel is, because the word has not yet been invented. But when it is I'm sure that he will be the one to do it. The first and only mention I will make about my friends' siblings is about Daniel's brother Matt. Matt, in some ways, is very much like his brother. They are both happy-go-lucky lads who will make you smile with just a word. So long as that word isn't Spam. Daniel is far away from us in Kamloops BC, but we are fortunate enough to see him once a year at camp and sometimes talk on the phone. That's all on Daniel for now. All Hail Plonka!!

CAYLEIGH WARRACK

Hmmm... Cayleigh... Well Cayleigh is the person who I talk to the most. That is due to the fact that she is not long distance to me and also because Brad doesn't call all that often. Cayleigh can be very calm and quiet most of the time, but when she gets wild and lets go, watch out! She is a fun, bubbley person who can sit and enjoy watching the world as it goes by at it's hectic pace and then regretfully jump back in to the supersonic speed of life. She is very focused and disiplined when on a task, wether it be the lead in a play or going to rent a video. Whenever I think of Cayleigh I can't get just one picture of her in my mind. I always get a whole jumble and she is smiling in every one of them. Did I mention that I love her kitchen?

JORDI HEPBURN

There is so much that I want to say about Jordi. So much that the world should know about her. I'll try to fit as much of it in as I can. Jordi is quite possibly the most lovely person I have ever met. She is always so cheerful and so optimistic that you know that if she can exist than the world isn't such a bad place after all. No matter what hardships she endures she always gets through them. There are tears and there is sadness, but it will always fade away. Jordi is like sunshine, she always brightens up my day whenever I hear from her or see her. She is always there when I have a problem as I am for her if she needs me. There is no one I would be prouder to call my friend. Jordi always thinks of others, always lends a helping hand and always goes through life with a caring and love that is unsurpassed. Jordi is all the things that I am still learing to do. Well, I'm running out of room so I'll end here. "You and I, we'll watch our years roll by, we'll watch our sweet dreams fly far away, and maybe someday, I don't know when but we will dream again and we'll be hap-hap-happy then, 'till our time, just drifts away..." Luv ya hon.
