UnElectric
Monosynth: I am never expecting the way this song starts out. The only thing you can expect from Ronnie is to know whatever he does you will not be expecting it. This song has always sounded eerie to me, and now I think the full effect of this has been brought out.
True Harmony: On this song you start to relise just what a master of music Ronnie truly is. His voice was quite shocking to me. I knew he didn't layer his vocals on this album, but I still wasn't expecting how deep his voice really is! Compared to the electric version, I think I actualy like this version better. The beauty and the catchiness has been brought out more.
Disco For A Ride: I wasn't expecting this either! It sounds so ghostly. It's great. That's all there is to say, other than listen to it, if you haven't already.
These Should Be The Good Times: This song is so beautiful it makes my heart ache, and makes me cry! I love it! The chorus is just so awesom, sad, beautiful, all of it's beautiful!
The Girl From Rosewood Lane: Yet another beautiful song! On all of these songs you can tell just how skilled on piano Ronnie is. This sounds very natrual, and anyone who's listened/listening to this CD should know by now, Ronnie's just a musical genius. And the sadness of this song and the others is what makes it so beautiful.
The North Sea: I don't think it's really all that diffrent from the electric version. It's still an eerie, ghostly, sad ballad. The vocals are ofcourse more natrual, and as pleasent as ever. This song is still so amazing to me it always puts me in awe because it is so beautiful and it makes me so sad.
Sugar Rush: Very pleasent, I was ofcourse not expecting this. The vocals are so much deeper! And it's a lot slower. I don't think this kills the song at all,I think it really just adds to it.
The Cobbler: This isn't really sad,it's just extremly beautiful and dream like. The way it's always been,no matter what.
Candy Cane Carriage: I think this song, is more beautiful than it appeared on melody, or on old wives tales. I especialy like the way he sings the last line of the chorus.
Losing Touch With Everyone: It's so sad and ghostly! It makes me cry, and I never really seem to notice I am crying untill the song has ended and I have to wipe the tears away. Just listen to it.
Overall
No this is not a bonus song that only I got on my copy out of all the others made *S* I just want to say a few things about the album overall.
Not all the songs are sad in my oppinion monosynth is just eerie, and the cobbler is more dreamy. Yet all the songs have an inate sadness to them, and it's what makes them all so beautiful. My refrence to Ronnie being a master of music was not because I'm partial to guitars and piano (I'm not bye the way I get bored with guitar) but just because the songs he writes are always good, and he always comes out with a master piece. Ronnie simply writes great songs. Ronnie never ceises to amaze me, that is why the only thing I've come to expect, is to not expect what will happen next.
All the songs on here are favorites of mine, but I think may like these should be the good times, candy cane carriage, and losing touch with everyone especialy best.
