Surge Electric's Concert Story
Last night was my first time seeing JE live! I am still so excited to have shaken Ronnie's hand and talked to him a bit! At the last minute I found out he was playing in Redding,Calif. And so I drove 2 1/2 hours just to see him and Jeff play. I walked into the church and saw these two guys selling JE shirts and stickers and here's how conversation went:
"Is this all you guys have?" I said.
"Well what did you want?"
"I was hoping for the t-shirts and stickers with the old JE logo"
Oh,they said.
"How much for this?" I asked
I was kinda having an attitude too...not really thinking. Well I go towards the stage and see this little girl with an AUTOGRAPHED pic of Ronnie and Jeff..I freak out! Well,she pointed me over to where the two guys I had been speaking to who were sitting down..man,was I embarresed! I went back over with my face beat red and started chatting like an idiot. I could tell I made them uncomftable so I'd go sit down..but each time I looked over I thought:"Oh my god that's je!" And I'd go over and bug them some more with stupid questions. But I didn't care! It was great to be conversing with them. Later on after they played and I screamed till my throat hurt,I got a chance to talk to him some more and I asked him about some of his lyrics...oh it was great! But I could've killed myself for not having brought a camera..:( Oh well..maybe next time.
