Racing and Extra info : By racing your chocobo's, u can get them up ranks! When you first get them they will all start in Class C and their "speed" and "stamina" wont always be very high, so u have to feed them greens ( I usall y have alot of money so I first give mine the most expensive greens ) but, it doesn't really matter untill it gets to be a B rank chocobo! After racing 3 of the short races ( well, thats what I do ) your chocobo will move up one rank, from a C, to a B. After u race it 3 more times on the short track, it will be a A rank...AND, if u want it to be a S ranking chocobo, then u just got to race it 3 more times, but the one's you are racing against aren't easy unless u have a GOLD CHOCOBO!!
How to get a green chocobo : First go and get 6 choco stables ( u will probably use them all up ) then, u need to get a good, A class male ( you can find them around the Gold Saucer area ) and a great A class female ( you can get them around the Mideel area ) Then mate them with a carob nut, and u should have a green chocobo ( oh yeah, before mating, u should always save, just incase it doesn't work ) If it doesn't work, just keep trying until you get one...
How to get a blue chocobo : Well, I'm not really sure if this is how your supposed to do it, but this is what I did....I mated 2 great ( A Class ) chocobos and got a blue, not hard to do is it? oh yeah, btw , you also mate them with a carob nut, and u SHOULD get a blue, cause I did on the first try ! If u need help getting a blue, I'll get all the info. for you , if you want it!
How to get a Black chocobo : First you gotta get your green and blue choco's to be a A Class...Then u mate them with a carob nut ( like all the others ) and u should get a black! ( I know I'm not typing much for this one, but really getting a choco to be a diff. color is really easy. And make sure u have a stable for the baby chocobo...
How to get the GOLD CHOCOBO : Ok, first, go and race your black, untill it gets to be a S ranking choco! ( u just race 3 more times on the short track after you are a A ) When u are done that, go and get a Wonderful chocobo from the snow land place ( they should be running with there head down when you are ready to move them into the stable ) and get that chocobo up to a A class...Then, if u don't already have a "Zeio" nut, then u gotta go to Goblins Island, and in the forest there are lil goblins that u have to fight to get the nut ( u don't always get it so, don't give up after 1 try ) When you got the Zeio nut, go back to the stables and mate them... you should have gold chocobo :) and now u can go and get the "knights of the Round Table " materia!
