Nephlite is Beryl's second general after Jedite. He believed that more power could be gotten from a single person at the height of their potiential then from massive bodies. The hate between Zoicite and Nephlite is great. Nephlite used the power of the stars to guide him. He is very sure of himself and very arrogant.
But, when he meets Serena's friend, Molly, he realizes that even he has some good in him, and starts to become good. When Beryl finds out about Malachite's betrayl she sends four of her henchmen out to kill him. He ends up dying in Molly's arms, and she is left to grieve.
