Unlike her sisters, Birdie preferred the subtleties of mind games over physical confrontations, relishing in the control it gave her. She possessed immense pride in her mental faculties, and was easily deflated when proven inferior before her sisters.
This intellectual narcissism, along with her general distaste for petty competitions, was preyed upon mercilessly by the other sisters, and only served to strengthen Birdie's drive for success in her missions.
When Catsy was turned to the side of righteousness, Birdie had no compunctions about being able to complete their mission; in fact, she welcomed the opportunity.
However, her defeat at the hands of her rival, Sailor Mercury, shattered her fearlessness and pride, and when she was abandoned by her sisters for her failure, her shame and despair became limitless. Drawing upon the powers of darkness to forever seal herself within an icy crypt, Birdie was pulled from her self-destructive act by Catsy's love and compassion. Finally able to see Catsy as a true and loyal sister for the first time, Birdie welcomed the healing powers of the Silver Crystal to free her from her nightmare.
