Custom Classic Saber
This lightsaber is based on Anakin Skywalker's Saber that Luke used in ANH & ESB. It is all metal, constructed from chromed plumbing tube, conduit connectors, copper pipe, and many other parts, moreover it is FULLY FUNCTIONAL - (except for the blade of course, damn reality!).
Features
  • Full sound - blade opening, closing, humming, clashing, etc.
  • Functional LED's - red (flashing), yellow & green (constant)
  • Beam Emitter - Super bright Mag-Lite© bulb. (corresponds to the blade sounds).
  • Real Rubber Wiper Grips - Not British MG though.
  • Belt Clip
  • Runs on 3 Volt Litheum Camera Battery
   
 
This Lightsaber was constructed on a budget. The parts can be purchased at Radio Shack, Home Depot or Lowes, and any Toy store. Anyone with a few tools, some patience and a heap of dilligence can do the same. (The average cost of this project is, Functional: $70.00 Non-Functional: $40.00.)
 
 
 
 
 
 
Some incedental parts that were used were:
  • Radio knobs from a 1966 Ford Mustang - Blade adjustment knobs (extra's from my car).
  • Sink Faucet End - Blade Emitter (slips over the copper tube which runs the length of the Saber).
  • 4 Pin Microphone Jack - Recharging Socket.
  • Kenner's "The Force" Lightsaber Electronics - Used to supply all the cool effects.
