I have not completed my finalized "transplant" instructions yet, but I am receiving so many Emails asking me how this is done I thought I'd post this diagram in the meantime.
This is a very rough diagram of the guts of one of my working sabers. The parts are transplanted from a Kenner Saber. Nothing is to scale and the wire colors are not acurate. In order to complete this transplant you need to have a rudimentary understanding of electronics, and be able to solder.
* For this type of setup to work you have to construct your saber so that the lightbulb and the entire emmitter housing is removable in order to gain access to the inside of the tube to slide the battery holder in and out.
