Dream Of all the moments we in our hearts desire, Surely it's of this that we most dream: To bare our arms while covert eyes inquire What passions are revealed within their gleam. To touch, to hold, here more than arms embrace For caresses gently gesture, "Guards, dismissed!" And silent lips accept with trembling grace This sweet surrender, signaled by a kiss. CF 1997
I Wonder I wonder what it would be like To make love to you under the stars And I wonder if you've wondered the same About me and all of my charms... Will you feel how warm and wet my lips Will be softly pressed against yours? And lying together with our bodies touching Will you feel my heart beat inside of yours? Will you smell and taste my sweet soft skin As you lay down and eat from me? Will you allow me to take all of you And give you back all of Love's ecstacy? Will you feel the love that flows through me From my veins, into your heart? And after you've made love to me Will you be able to tear us apart? For I wonder what it would be like To make love to you under the stars And I wonder if you've wondered the same About me and all of my charms... CF 1998
You Make My Heart Feel... You make my heart feel just like A garden of beautiful roses Everytime I hear your sweet voice My heart stands still and poses... You make me feel so wonderful Your Angel is happy all the time But when you make me miss you I go out of my Angel mind... I wilt just like a rose does And drop my petals to the floor And when I cannot have you with me My soul hungers for you even more... CF 1997
LIKE THE WIND She touches your heart, your mind, your soul... Yet you cannot touch hers She is with you, stirring your senses Yet she is not She surrounds you with love Yet she does not She is real and in your arms Yet she is not You know she is there Yet she is not You feel her warm body next to yours Yet you do not You feel her brush against your cheek Yet she does not You hold her close Yet you cannot Just as the wind is real, she is also real Just as you cannot touch the wind You cannot touch her Yet you know she is there Longing for your touch, your embrace Your love CF 1998
Quest for the Heart
With the beauty of the sunset
And the rising of the moon
Another day has gone by
And I still dream of you
I can't put to words
The love I have for you
I stumble with emotions
And wonder if they're true
I asked myself some questions
To see just who I love
Like, who do I trust
Whose laughter warms my heart
Whose eyes see into my soul
Whose voice speaks pure and true
Whose laughter is like heaven
Whose heart is fit for me
Then I realized I need not ask
For Darling, that person is you

The Voice of Love The nights are warm and endless My tears are full of truth And every time I see you I can't hide the proof I try to hold my feelings My loss should be your gain And when you ask more questions My lies just turn to pain When I'm alone and crying Your voice is the voice of love And no matter how I'm feeling Your voice rises above And in my days of darkness You become my sun And you brighten up my soul For the harder days to come When we talk you always calm me Your voice is so sweet For my actions don't show my feelings This I show each time we meet For I'm not sure if you fully realize How much you mean to me I feel so different around you As if we were meant to be And many days of happiness Are surely on the way So just think of this As one long delay So don't ever give up And don't be afraid The future is already decided Our Destiny is already made CF 1998
Looking Back Looking back at you From where I'm sitting now I need you more than ever And need to know just how... Just how you feel towards me All heart and angel wings I want to make you happy And for you I want to sing... I just want to love you I accept you for who you are I never want you to change your ways For to me, you're a shining star... CF 1998

CHERISHED FRIENDS God must have known there would be times We'd need a word of cheer Someone to praise a triumph Or brush away a tear. He must have known we'd need to share The joy of "little things" In order to appreciate The happiness life brings. I think he knew our troubled hearts Would sometimes throb with pain At trials and misfortunes Or some goals we can't attain. He knew we'd need the comfort Of an understanding heart To give us strength and courage To make a fresh, new start. He knew we'd need companionship Unselfish..lasting...true And so God answered the heart's great need With a CHERISHED FRIEND...like you. ..Unknown
TRUE FRIENDS The true friends who we meet online are a very special kind. They pierce your shields and see within the corners of your mind. They're always there when you're in need with their power to discern. They feel your pain..... they offer hope and genuine concern. We bare our souls, expose our hearts and show our inner fears and then before you know it the keyborard's stained with tears. And if we could see them through that screen then no one could deny that to be a TRUE online friend they too must cry. ....Unknown
WHAT IS A FRIEND? I will tell you. It is a person with whom you dare to be yourself. Your soul can be naked with him. He seems to ask of you to put on nothing, only to be what you are. He does not want you to be better or worse. When you are with him you feel as a prisoner feels who has been declared innocent. You do not have to be on your guard. You can say what you think, so long as it is genuinely you. He understands those contradictions in your nature that leads others to misjuge you. With him you breathe freely. You can avow your little vanities and envies and hates and vicious sparks, your meanness and abusurdities and , in opening them up to him, they are lost, dissolved on the white ocean of his loayalty. He understands. You can weep with him, sin with him, laugh with him, pray with him. Through it all and undereneath he sees, knows, and loves you. A friend? What is a friend? Just one, I repeat, with whom you dare to be yourself. ....Unknown
My Angel
Perched on golden wings,
he whisked me through the air.
To take me to an island,
that he had waiting there.
The clouds all rose around me,
like puffs of angel hair
Bowing as I passed,
through heaven's thoroughfare.
Below us it was dark
and night came upon the world.
Above me there was light
and the magic was now unfurled.
Such beauty to behold,
my spirit lifted high.
My Angel's bellowed wings,
made their way in bluest sky.
There awaiting me,
I saw unicorns at play.
A wonderland of magic,
was mine to see this day.
With ease of feathered wing,
we landed upon blue grass.
Into my heavenly home,
I had come to rest at last.
An Angel had brought me there,
to make of me a queen.
To sit upon my thrown,
where I would meet my king.
Together we would rule,
a land of joyous praise.
Where angels still exist,
where peace and love amaze.

What If My insides are shaking My stomach's in knots Gonna give it my best All that I got. I may come home With my heart in my hands We may fall in love Wouldn't that be grand? What if feelings aren't mutual? What if we don't stand a chance? I have a sneaky suspision We'll know in just one glance. How can one so afraid of heart break Put herself on the line? Leaving every thing she knows With no reason or rhyme. God, be with us all We're gonna need you oh so much Traveling all that way Just to feel his touch. ......Anonymous
Her Secret Smile I chanced to see her from afar, and noticed, even then, her secret smile. She wore her cloak of shyness as a shield against the world, and yet her grace and charm she bestowed as a Queen, allowing her chosen subjects to shre her bounties. Loitering on the fringes I chanced to catch her eye and was captivated by the glint of the mysteries that lay within. Hope flowered, and the fates were kind, she responded with her radiant smile. In that poignant moment a flame of passion engulfed us, that could never be extinguish in our hearts; An idylic divertissement ensued and a sweet dalliance, yet all to soon she slipped away leaving just a cherished memory. Time past yet the memories lingered of that ethereal butterfly who would flitter in and out of my life. I chanced to see her in the distance, our friendship intact and our love never faltering, she with another, yet no jealous stirrings could I feel for my Queen of hearts, only to wonder at her boundless imagination and the splendour of her beauty that now she would bring to another devoted acolyte, who in turn would become intoxicated by her endlessly labrrinthed, magicl mind, weaving its spells of erotically sensual and dazzling perfection. The secret smile would forever be mine to share and we would always make a haven of joy in her esoteric magical kingdom. Selene © February 1998
Lord Byron (1788-1824) She walks in beauty She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impair'd the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling-place. And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!
Sonnets from the Portuguese, XIV If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only. Do not say 'I love her for her smile--her look--her way Of speaking gently,--for a trick of thought That falls in well with mine, and certes brought A sense of pleasant ease on such a day'-- For these things in themselves, Beloved, may Be changed, or change for thee,--and love, so wrought, May be unwrought so. Neither love me for Thine own dear pity's wiping my cheeks dry,-- A creature might forget to weep, who bore Thy comfort long, and lose thy love thereby ! But love me for love's sake, that evermore Thou mayst love on, through love's eternity.
THE FEMALE OF THE SPECIES 1911 WHEN The Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride, He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside; But the shebear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail, For the female of the species is more deadly than the male. When Nag the basking cobra hears the careless foot of man, He wnll sometimes wriggle sideways and avoid it as he can; But his mate makes no such motion where she camps beside the trail For the female of the species is more deadly than the male. When the early Jesuit fathers preached to Hurons and Choctaws, They prayed to be delivered from the vengeance of the squaws. 'Twas the women, not the warriors, turned those stark enthusiasts pale, For the female of the species is more deadly than the male. Man's timid heart is bursting with the things he must not say, For the Woman that God gave him isn't his to give away; But when the hunter meets with husband, each confirms the other's tale- Tle female of the species is more deadly than the male. Man, a bear in most relations-worm and savage otherwise,- Man propounds negotiations, Man accepts the compromise. Very rarely will he squarely push the logic of a fact To its ultimate conclusion in unmitigated act. Fear, or foolishness, impels him, ere be lay the wicked low, To concede some form of trial even to his fiercest foe. Mirth obscene diverts his angerl Doubt and Pity oft perplex Him in dealing with an issue-to the scandal of The Sex! But the Woman that God gave him, every fibre of her frame Proves her launched for one sole issue, armed and engined for the same; And to serve that single issue, lest the generations fail, The female of the species must be deadlier than the male. She who faces Death by torture for each life beneath her breast May not deal in doubt or pity-must not swerve for fact or jest. These be purely male diversions-not in these her honour dwells. She the Other Law we live by, is that Law and nothing else. She can bring no more to living than the powers that make her great And the Mother of the Infant and the Mistress of the Mate! And when Babe and Man are lacking and she strides unclaimed to claim Her right as femme (and baron), her equipment is the same. She is wedded to convictions-in default of grosser ties; Her contentions are her children, Heaven help him who deniesl- He will meet no suave discussion, but the instant, white-hot, wild, Wakened female of the species warring as for spouse and child. Unprovoked and awful changes-even so the shee-bear fights, Speech that drips, corrodes, and poisons-even so the cobra bites, Scientific vivisection of one nerve till it is raw, And the victim writhes in anguish-like the Jesuit with the squaw! So, it comes that Man the coward, when he gathers to confer With the fellow-braves in council, dare not leave a place for her Where, at war with Life and Conscience, he uplifts his erring hands To some God of Abstract Justice-which no woman understands. And Man knows it! Knows, moreover, that the woman that God gave him Must command but may not govern-shall enthrall but not enslave him. And She knows, because She warns him, and Her instincts never fail, That the Female of the Species is more deadly than the Male
