SPRING FLING

To tell you the truth, I was kind of bummed out when my _________________(parent)insisted that I stay home from school that rainy day. Even though I had a _______________(adjective) throat, I actually wanted to go to school because we were having a _____________(adjective) pep rally for all our sports teams and I'd miss _____________(name fave of class). But _____________(parent) took one look at me that morning and insisted on peeking into my throat, which had turned bright _____________(color), and taking my temperature, which ended up being _____________(three digit number)). "No school for you today, hon" _____________(parent) declared. "You're sick!"
Mrs. Hugsalot, the _____________(adjective) old lady who lives next door, hurried right over to keep me company and make sure I didn't break out into _____________(color) spots or something while _____________(parent) was at work. She sat in the living room, knitting a _____________(clothing item), while I curled up on the couc and napped until lunchtime. When I woke up, my fever had disappeared and my throat had improved, but I still felt pretty down about missing the pep rally. To cheer me up, Mrs Hugsalot decided to make me her special _____________(food) sandwich with _____________(condiment).
While she was bustling around the kitchen, I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door and saw _____________(fave music group) huddled under an umbrella in the pouring rain! Though they were soaked to the skin, they look totally _____________(adjective).
"Excuse us, but our tour bus broke down, and we were wondering if we could come out of the rain and stay at your place for a few minutes," _____________(group member) said to me politely.
"Oh, um, of course!" I managed to reply with a _____________(adjective) smile.
As they followed me into the kitchen, I told myself that my fever must have returned. I had to be hallucinating! Was that really _____________(another group member) kneeling on the floor, scratching my _____________(color) lab, _____________(dog's name), behind the ears? And that couldn't be _____________(another group member) tying on an apron and helping Mrs. Hugsalot make more sandwiches or _____________(another group member) patting me on the back sympathetically as the li'l granny told them that I was feeling under the weather!
"You know, when I get a sore throat before a concert, I drink _____________(beverage) with _____________(seasoning)," he told me. "Here, let me make some for you!" that's when I knew I wasn't imagining all this. _____________(group name)was really here!
I always thought I would feel _____________(adjective) around such famous guys, but you know what, they were so _____________(adjective) that by the time the sandwiches were finished, we were all chatting like best buds - even Mrs. Hugsalot! Who would have guessed that this granny was a huge fan of the group? She begged them to serenade us with one of the songs on their CD, _____________(fave song). They did and then they launched into _____________(second fave song). She warbled all the words right along with them! It was pretty funny. But the funniest thing was later on when the guys decided to teach us some of their dance moves. The guys were impressed with how fast I picked up the steps--and so was I! Soon we were all bopping around the living room getting silly. _____________(group member)grabbed _____________(dog)'s fron paws and pretended to dance with him. Then Mrs. Hugsalot and _____________(group member) gave _____________(adjective) whoop, spun themselves across the room and crashed right into a wall! It was so hilarious that we all laughed until our sides hurt.
After theat, we all gathered around the TV to watch my all-time fave show, _____________(fave tv show). As it turns out, its _____________(group member) and _____________(another group member)'s fave, too!
"You know, I'm pretty good friends with _____________(male star on fave show)," he told me. "In fact, he's in town to visit his _____________(relative). Wanna talk to him?"
He whipped out his cell phone and dialed up _____________(male star on fave show). Within seconds, I was chattering away with him. I found out that we've got alot in common. For instance, we're both _____________(adjective) when it comes to dating and we both dig _____________(sport) and _____________(adjective) movies. How amazing is that?
I was having such a fab time hanging with the guys that before I knew it, it was 5o'clock. Their driver knocked on the rain-socked door to tell _____________(group name) that their bus was fixed. I was so sad at the thought of saying goodbye to them that I nearly burst into tears. But then _____________(group member) said, "I had such a good time here, I hate to go. Do you think we could come back to visit you again sometime?"
"Yeah," added _____________(another group member). "And maybe we could get your phone number so we could keep talking, too!"
What could I say? I scribbled down my number for them and gave them big goodbye hugs. I wasn't the teeniest bit sad standing beside Mrs. Hugsalot under an umbrella and waving as the bus rumbled away. I may have missed the pep rally, but my throat felt way better and I'd just made _____________(number of guys in the group) _____________(adjective) new friends!
