This is very scarey subject, and we must undertand the story to spiritually grow. The flood with noah, destroyed the entire living population by water,except for the seven souls who believed the report. They were his sons and their wives and his wife,(a total of eight souls,and the animals they gathered into the ark) they were types and shadows for us to understand through.
Now noah and his sons preached, as they were told by yahweh, to do, for hundred and twenty years. This placed the blood or guilt upon those who did not believe the report,and from off of them!
Noah and his sons and daughters (wifes) all together as one unit, built the divinely inspired ARK, shown to noah in a divine vision, which he understood in a divine revelation, so as he could build it, just as he was shown. (the same way moses was told to build the tabernacle, and for us the spiritual ark or tabernacle,now)
To escape such judgements,as the consumation of all flesh now,by fire, we must become one with that consuming fire or flame or yahweh or spirit. Yahshua or the holy spirit must be built or formed in you, yahshua the messiah must take on shape and form right within you, as the true gospel is taught or preached to us. It is then our responsibility to RESEARCH,the correct names and his tabernacle pattern etc,and open up our hearts and minds, take a brand new look at all that is going on in the bible and in the world. y2k ,impeachment,wars,famine,disease, etc...
