*** Where can I get the STP CD???

As we explained on the site, we just did our songs for fun and for a creative outlet. We all have regular jobs and lives and aren't seeking to enter the music business. We just made the site, and included the music and lyrics in hopes that somebody would get something out of it, which we hope you did. However, you CAN download the full-length MP3s from the site, and listen to them on your computer anytime. OR, if you have a CD Writer, you can translate the format of the MP3s, burn your own CD, and listen anywhere you like.

*** Can you recommend some good Christian Hip Hop???

I listen to LOTS of other music besides Hip Hop.. so there may be some good ones that I'm not aware of; but some of the more popular ones nowadays are: Priesthood, Dirt, Pettidee, the Cross Movement, DJ Maj, Sackcloth Fashion, John Reuben, T-Bone, Unity Klan, Nuwine... that should give you a good start if you are shopping for your son/daughter/niece/nephew/whoever. Oh, where can you buy them? At your local Christian bookstore, or you can go to our main page https://www.angelfire.com/ca/stpsite and click on the Musicforce banner and buy them online. HAPPY HUNTING!!!

*** Can STP come play at our church/youth group/concert/show/whatever???

Sorry, but no. Again, we just did our songs for fun; and since we do have regular jobs and lives and whatnot, we aren't a performing group-- but please enjoy what you can through the site!!

*** Where can I find out more about / buy some other Christian Hip Hop music???

If you have difficulty finding Christian Hip Hop in your area, you can order it through the Internet and help us out at the same time.... Click on the banner at the bottom of the STP site's title page, where it says "If Heaven had a Music Store..."-- it will take you to Music Force, a company on the Internet that specializes in Christian music. They have a decent selection of Christian Hip Hop; and you can hear Real Audio samples over the Internet to find what you like. THEN, you can buy it on the Internet with a credit card, or you can get their address, and do it through the mail. They are a good company; AND when you click on the banner on our page to get there, it helps the STP site because Music Force sponsors our page.

*** How can I become a Christian rapper???

Be a Christian, and rap. No, seriously… write some rhymes, record them onto some kind of instrumental (yours or somebody else's at first), make some MP3s, and put them on your own website. If I figured out how on my own, so can you. Or you can post them to MP3.com. Advertise it on the search engines, get your name and your music OUT THERE!! If your stuff is tight, offers will come. We've had several, which we have turned down.

*** Can you give me some tips on writing better rhymes???

1. Get in the Word… it's an endless source of subject matter of depth.
2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help you in picking the subject and in developing the song.
3. Pick one!!
4. Think of a couple of good lines about that subject, and develop the song around those couple of good lines... and then just flow, it will come.
5. Practice makes perfect.
That's about the size of it, in a nutshell. That way you can serve it up fresh from Heaven. You are well able...you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

*** Can you draw (whatever) for me/my church/my group…???

The bottom line is, we get so many of these requests, it's impossible to do them all out of the kindness of our hearts-- we'd never be able to leave the house! However, if there would be some sort of compensation or trade, etc.-- then there's a possibility, so go ahead and email us with the specifics.

*** Can you teach me how to do graffiti art???

I can't really do that. But I can give you some tips:
1. Buy some good graf books. You buy THE BEST graf books in existence through our site. Go to the main page, then click on the "STP Book Shop" link. From there, you can buy any of the graf books. My personal recommendations are: "Subway Art", "Spraycan Art" -- (these two are the classic graffiti bibles), and also "Graffito" and "The Art of Getting Over" are excellent. These books will help you figure out how to draw different styles. There's nothing wrong with biting (copying) for a while, while you are learning.
2. Draw--LOTS.
3. Paint--LOTS. Practice makes perfect. Only paint in places where you have permission!! Stay out of trouble!! No piece is worth jail time. And use Krylon brand, it's the best. For clean lines, keep the can close to the wall and move FAST!
That's about all I can tell you really. Buy books and practice, practice, practice. There are no shortcuts. It will be frustrating at the beginning, but you'll get better and it will be fun to paint even when you aren't so good at it. Enjoy it. If it's not fun, quit.

*** Can you give me your opinion of my rhyme/poem/art???

I'm not a critic. If you like it, and expressed something you needed to get out of your heart, then that's what counts. If you need an impartial judge, ask a friend to be blunt with you. If they like it and you like it, chances are others will too. Keep it up.

*** What's all this "Jah" stuff?? Are you talking about God or what??

Are you ready? Semi-long story... OK,
PART ONE:
Some Christians avoid using this shortened form of God's name, because it is most frequently used by those in the Rastafarian religion. However, that is precisely why I choose to use it. I REFUSE to give away this holy and precious one of God's names to those who use it to MISTAKENLY refer to a man (H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, late Emperor of Ethiopia)-- though he was a good man, he is not God.
PART TWO:
In the Hebrew, one of the most common names of God is called the Tetragrammaton...most accurately translated to English without vowels and can be either YHWH (which we like to add vowels to and say "YaHWeH") or JHVH (which we say as "JaHVeH or "JeHoVaH" -- which I KNOW you've heard before, depending on which vowels we add and where we put them.) But in the Hebrew there are no vowels in that Name, so all three English translations are equally accurate.
PART THREE:
This Name of God, which you most often see in our English Bible as "LORD" (all capitals) can also be shortened to "YAH" or "JAH", as seen is Psalms 68:4 -- "Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name JAH, And rejoice before Him." This form of His Name is also seen in Isaiah 12:2 -- "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; 'For JAH, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation."
PART FOUR:
Even though many Christians THINK they are avoiding using this Name of our God, most Christians actually use it quite regularly! What do you think it means when you say "Hallelujah"??? This Hebrew word "Hallelu-JAH" is used MANY times in the Bible, and is translated as, "Praise the LORD"!! Psalm 150 alone uses it three times. Never mind the rest of the Psalms, etc.
PART FIVE:
It is God's Name-- the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. JeHoVaH, The God of the Bible --My God, HIS Name. So I use it and like it. It also gives me a chance to educate when people ask me this question. So, I hope that answers your question. If you have any more questions about this frequently used Name of God, please go to Yahoo, or some search engine and do a search for "Tetragrammaton". You will find an ABUNDANCE of info. Don't let it confuse you, it just means "God". Write down those Scriptures, and when you hear some one use that Name incorrectly, school 'em in love.

*** Hey, what's your problem with homosexuals, are you an ignorant bigot or what?!?!?!

OK, the homosexuality question...I've gotten this question before, cuz people see something about gays in my lyrics and expect the worst from the get-go. First off all, I'm not judging anyone at all. I don't think any less of a homosexual than I do of myself. I've got my temptations to do wrong, they've got theirs. Some people are tempted with alcohol, some with stealing, some with sex outside of marriage...everybody's got areas where they are more susceptible to temptation than others are. What they do wrong is not any more wrong than what I, or anyone else I know does, really. I don't think it's any worse than adultery or any sex outside of marriage, or drinking/doing drugs, or hating, racism, or...well, you name it. They're not "born that way" any more than I'm born to have sex outside of marriage ... it's just the particular temptation that they have in their lives that they have to overcome, just as you and I must overcome our own temptations. But neither one of us can prove or disprove that point, so we'll leave it alone. I love homosexuals. Two of my good friends are homosexuals, and I care about them and relate to them just like I would anyone else, so if you're looking for prejudice against homosexuals, you're barking up the wrong tree.

What I was saying about homosexuality in that song is that when we go out and say we are PROUD of our shortcomings and sins, that's well...a sign of a culture out of control. I mean, have you ever heard of an "Adulterer's pride parade"??? Not that I'm aware of. But of course we do have our ways of expressing pride in our own sins too (How many times have you heard "I can drink you under the table", etc.??); but the "Gay Pride Parade" is just such an obvious example to use. As a result of that type of pride in our own wrongdoings, we've left ourselves open to things like AIDS. No, I'm not saying it's a judgement from God. God won't ever make ANYONE sick or diseased. He only heals and loves, and anyone that says anything different, lies...or is deceived. Sickness and anything like it comes from Satan himself, who has twisted God's plan into the mess you see today. "Then why doesn't God fix it?" you ask. Because when he created us, he said, "Let THEM (people) have dominion (power, authority)" He can't break His own Word. But soon, our period of dominion will be over and God will take back what's His and fix it. "When?" Soon, that's all I know--trust me, soon. If you want to be ready for that time, Click Here.

Just know that I judge no one. Like the Bible teaches, "...but for the grace of God, there go I". What that means is that I am better than no one. It's only God that enables me to stay on the right path. I can't do it by my ability--I have none of my own. If it weren't for God, I'd be in a filthy mess of all kinds of sin, I just know it. In fact, even with God inside of me, I am still constantly messing up. I'm weak and tempted just like anyone. I still have to struggle against the nature that we were all born with, you know? So I'm not picking on somebody and not looking at myself at the same time, I do- ALL THE TIME! God is always pointing out my faults to me too. "Fix this, fix that! You can do it!" But it's hard, as I'm sure you know.

And some people, maybe even you, will say "Judge not.." Well, it's true that I am judging. But judging ACTIONS is different than judging PEOPLE. I love the people, regardless of what they are involved in doing. If you think that it's impossible to say that a particular action is wrong, I must disagree. Just like we have laws that say you can't steal or kill, etc. Plus, if you can't say what someone is doing is wrong, how can someone tell me that I am wrong for "judging"? There's nothing wrong with saying that wrong is WRONG, dig? There IS a standard. In short...I believe homosexuality is wrong, like lots of other things...I still love homosexuals like I do anybody else...it's just that the "PRIDE in the sin" aspect that I was talking about. So, I hope that covers the subject for you.
