  • Hollywood Hogan Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund. - Gene Okerlund brought up Kevin Nash's challenge to Hollywood Hogan the previous Thursday on Thunder, where Hogan and a partner of his choice would take on Nash and an old buddy of his he knew for nine years. He thanked the fans for greeting him at the airport. Hogan, calling Nash, Kevina, said everything Nash stated was bullcrap. Hogan said he didn't have no stinking partner, but he did have the Heavyweight Title and the Hulkamaniacs. He said he would be out there all night, at which point Kevin Nash, Sid Vicious, and Rick Steiner made their ways out. Nash was once again in an Outsiders t-shirt. Hogan said it was between he and Nash only. Nash sarcastically asked Sid and Steiner what they were doing out there. Nash said he couldn't help but notice Hogan was out in the ring by himself. Hogan once again said he didn't need a partner. Hogan told Nash to put his microphone down and come get some. Nash gave Steiner the microphone, and immediately went at it with Hogan. Sid and Steiner entered the ring for a three-on-one attack on Hogan. Sting then made his way out with a baseball bat and scared the heels off. Nash said he begged to differ Hogan didn't need a partner. He said he had his, and Hogan better have his own. Sting left the ring, with Hogan left alone on the inside.
  • The West Texas Rednecks (Bobby Duncum, Jr. and Kendall Windham, w/Curt Hennig, Barry Windham) defeated Psychosis and Juventud Guerrera with a Double Bulldog. - Bobby Duncum, Jr. and Kendall Windham used excellent teamwork to work on Psycohsis. At one point, Psychosis made the tag to Juventud Guerrera, but the referee didn't see it. Guerrera, however, did get in a missle dropkick. As Guerrera argued with the referee over the tag, Duncum and Windham finished off Psychosis with a Double Bulldog.
  • It was announced that country singer, Chad Brock, would perform on Nitro in two weeks in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Another promo aired later in the show where it was once again announced KISS would be performing at the 8/23 Nitro from Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Backstage, Miss Madness, was working her hair. Madness said she couldn't believe she was fired from Team Madness. She noted that her new name was Miss Mona. Madusa came in to the picture and insulted Gorgeous George. She claimed George did want to be kidnapped by Kevin Nash. She mentioned that her and Mona were scheduled to go one-on-one at Road Wild. She said her and Mona would finish George off once and for all later in the show.
  • Rey Mysterio, Jr. defeated Vampiro (w/Insane Clown Posse) by Disqualification, to retain the Cruiserweight Title. - Looks like Insane Clown Posse are still part of WCW, after injuring Konnan the previous Monday on Nitro. Vampiro was first dominating Mysterio, but Mysterio started to come back, executing the bronco buster. He then knocked out Shaggy 2 Dope of The Insane Clown Posse. Vampiro caught him with the Vampiro Spike and went for a top rope maneuver, but Mysterio knocked him down. Mysterio then went for the top rope huracanrana, only to be powerbombed down by Vampiro. ICP and Vampiro then started to attack Mysterio, with Eddie Guerrero making the save with a chair. Violent J got on the microphone and told Mysterio he was about to find out what Konnan found out, which was that Vampiro had friends in wicked places. He said they were their to kick somebody's ass.
  • Stevie Ray defeated Vincent (w/Horace) with the Slapjack. - All three superstars came out to The NWO Black and White entrance music. Before the match, Vincent taunted Stevie Ray. He said they didn't need Ray to lead The NWO Black and White. Horace immediately tried to interfere, but Ray knocked him out. Ray continued to dominate, but Horace was back, using the microphone as a weapon. Vincent ended up knocking him out (accidently) this time. Ray then knocked Vincent a couple of times with the slapjack foreign object and executed the Slapjack maneuver for the win. Brian Adams was about to make his way out to help Vincent and Horace, but Booker T. was out there to scare him off with a chair. Ray and Horace exchanged arguments following the match.
  • Backstage, Gene Okerlund was in front of Hollywood Hogan's locker room. He said they were still trying to find out who Hogan's tag team partner would be in the match against Kevin Nash and his partner. Sting came into the picture and walked into Hogan's locker room.
  • Sting Interview. - Sting introduced himself as the President of WCW. He said he already had a big decision. He said Hollywood Hogan was in the back, wanting to know if Sting would be his partner and wanted to know if it was showtime. Hollywood Hogan then made his way out, without the Heavyweight Title. Hogan said he came to Nitro, concentrating on Kevin Nash. He things had changed and he wasn't the same guy as before, so Sting could trust him. Hogan asked Sting to give him one chance to prove himself. He said he wouldn't stab Sting in the back. The crowd booed. Sting said he would be Hogan's partner, but if Hogan screwed him, he would come after Hogan.
  • Jason Hervey, formerly of the Wonder Years, joined in for commentary. He said he was sitting in some meetings in Hollywood, California and everyone was talking about Arli$$. He said Arli$$ was terrible and was given Hollywood a bad name. He said he had been in WCW since the beginning.
  • Prince Iaukea and Lash LeRoux went to a No-Contest. - Immediately, Randy Savage, along with Gorgeous George made his way down. He destroyed Iaukea and LeRoux. He landed hard, as usual, on LeRoux with the Big Elbow. He got on the announcer's table. He told Kevin Nash, Hollywood Hogan, and Dennis Rodman that not only was he taken over the wrestling world but also running for President of the United States. He told Hogan and Rodman they didn't want none of him. Madusa and Miss Mona made their ways out. Savage told them to get out of there since they were fired from team Madness. Madusa said she and Mona were a team player and wanted to be in Savage's group. She said there was a conspiracy of George being the person who caused the firing of her (Madusa) and Mona. Savage said he was the boss. Madusa and Savage continued to exchange arguments over George. George backed down the aisle as Madusa went after her. She bumped into Dennis Rodman, who took off with George. Savage went crazy and after Rodman.
  • Backstage, Randy Savage stormed through the backstage area, looking for Georgeous George. Security was right behind him.
  • Goldberg Interview. - Goldberg said it was convenient for Curt Hennig to issue a challenge to him the previous Thursday on Thunder when he (Goldberg) was thousands of miles away. He told Hennig he was there and Hennig was next.
  • Evan Karagias defeated Ernest Miller (w/Sonny Onoo) via Pinfall. - Ernest Miller said he was in a good mood and would let Evan Karagias walk out. He said appreciated the guts Karagias had for standing in the ring with him. He offered to shake Karagias' hand in front of all the rednecks. Karagias did so, and was clotheslined down. At one point, Miller executed the People's Elbow. Sonny Onoo got his cheapshot on Karagias. Miller dominated the match. The moment Karagias executed a crossbody, Onoo was on the ring, distracting the referee. Miller went for the briefcase for his red dancing shoes, but ended up finding bunny slippers. Buff Bagwell appeared near the entrance way, holding up Miller red shoes. Karagias then rolled up Miller from behind for the victory. Miller knocked out Karagias afterward and went after Bagwell.
  • Steve Regal (w/Dave Taylor) defeated Mikey Whipwreck by making him submit to the Regal Stretch. - The laceration Fit Finlay suffered the previous night at a house show in Jackson, Mississippi was brought up. As Steve regal dominated Mikey Whipwreck, The First Family made their ways out, with Jimmy Hart holding the Hardcore Trophy. Hart told Regal and Dave Taylor to show up at Road Wild if they wanted the trophy back. Whipwreck then tried several different pinfall attempts, but was unsuccessful. Regal continued his domination, with help from Taylor. Whipwreck tried to fight back, but after getting nailed with the British Flag, courtesy of Taylor, he was finished off with the Regal Stretch.
  • Backstage, Goldberg pumped up for his match with Curt Hennig.
  • David Flair Interview, with Gene Okerlund, Conducted by Gene Okerlund. - Gene Okerlund brought up David Flair's upcoming United States Title match with Chris Benoit. David, saying, "Mean 'Whoo' Gene," said to be the man, you got to beat the man. David asked Torrie Wilson how he looked as U.S. Champion, with Wilson saying he looked like a tin. He called his dad the greatest wrestler on the face of the earth and he's next in the line. Okerlund said he didn't know where David's father was, but he wouldn't be able to pull him out of the match with Benoit. David said, "It will be easy as one, two three ... Whoo!"
  • Backstage, Randy Savage continued to storm through the locker room, looking for the kidnapped Gorgeous George. George popped into the picture, screaming. Savage went to the outside of the arena, looking for Rodman. Savage continued to curse as he looked for Rodman. He opened the door of Rodman's R.V., where Rodman immediatley shut the door. Savage was held back by security.
  • A pre-recorded Shane Douglas interview was shown. He said Perry Saturn, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko were his best friends and the best athletes wreslting had to offer. He said he was in WCW to stand side by side with them. He said they were guys you could trust and they wouldn't stab you in the back. He officially said the cancer of WCW was Ric Flair. He said it was a truely exciting to be in WCW this time of year. He said the inside people of business know he and Flair had tremendous hatred for each other. He said a lot of people never knew he would arrive in WCW to play in Flair's backyard, as he laughed away.
  • Goldberg defeated Curt Hennig (w/West Texas Rednecks). - Before the match, Goldberg was once again shown pumping up for his match. For some reason, he was bleeding from his forehead before he even entered the ring. Goldberg immediately took down Curt Hennig. After Kendall Windham tripped Goldberg, Bobby Duncum, Jr. threw in his cowbell to Hennig, which was used on the head of Goldberg. The West Texas Rednecks interfered, but were destroyed with spears. Hennig brought in a chair, but was scared off just by the mean look of Goldberg. The referee called for the bell, probably because of the inteference, meaning a Disqualification victory for Goldberg. Hennig then found the guts to enter the ring, but he was thrown to the outside.
  • Madusa defeated Patty Stone Grinder with a Bridge Suplex. - Patty Stone Grinder used her chain on Madusa. Madusa started to dominate Grinder, diving onto her on the outside. Madusa later executed a Bridge Suplex for the victory.
  • Shane Douglas defeated Scott Putski with the Pittsburgh Plunge. - Shane Douglas dominated Scott Putski, with Putski getting in one maneuver. Douglas took the win with the Pittsburgh Plunge.
  • David Flair (w/Torrie Wilson, Asya) defeated Chris Benoit via Pinfall, to retain the United States Title. - Charles Robinson officiated the match. Chris Benoit immediatley took down David Flair and blew his nose on him. David wanted to walk out, but Robinson surprisingly told him to get back in the ring. Benoit threw some heavy chops on David. Benoit set David in a Lion Tamer, with David motionally submitting, but Robinson didn't call anything. Benoit nailed the Diving Headbutt. Diamond Dallas Page made his way out and nailed Benoit with one of the Tag Team Title belts, as Benoit had the Crippler Crossface going. Robinson supposedly had something in his eyes. DDP pulled David's arm over Benoit for the win. Dean Malenko then ran in and attacked DDP. The rest of The Triad, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon entered, followed by Perry Saturn. The three-on-three attack continued, with Benoit, Malenko, and Saturn left standing. Shane Douglas then entered, without one of his boots on. The heels headed to the back.
  • Rick Steiner defeated Chase Tatum with the Steiner Bulldog, to retain the Television Title. - Jason Hervey continued to do color commentary. Rick Steiner dominated Chase Tatum and easily finished him off with the Steiner Bulldog.
  • Kevin Nash and Sid Vicious defeated Hollywood Hogan and Sting via Pinfall. - Kevin Nash's partner ended up being Sid Vicious. Hollywood Hogan shoved his t-shirt down Sid's mouth and gave him a good eight punches. Sting entered the ring, with he and Hogan clearing the ring. Sid and Kevin Nash soon took the advantage, mainly working on Sting. Hogan was tagged in and he and Sting started to dominate. Sting nailed Sid with a Stinger Splash, with the referee getting squahsed. Both went to the outside, as Hogan was left on the inside with Nash. Rick Steiner made his way down and nailed Sting with a chair. Hogan hit Nash with a boot to the face, and when going for the Leg Drop, he was tripped by Steiner. Nash then nailed Hogan with a chair, with the referee making the pin. Goldberg then made his way down and was hit from behind with a chair, courtesy of Steiner. Goldberg also took a shot on his knee. Nash, Sid, and Steiner headed ot the back as the show went off the air.
