(February 2001) Here's our beloved 2000-2001 Lt. Governor for the Paradise Division, doing service like a good Circle K'er should! Helen will be graduating soon from UCSD, and she's already planning to join Kiwanis! What a wonderful example for the rest of us to follow. GO HELEN!

Rosey Greer at the Kiwanis Convention
(August 2000) This is a cool picture of 2000-01 Key Club District Governor Joe Gaudet, 2000-01 KIWIN'S District Governor Angela Chou, myself in the middle, and sitting in the foreground is Roosevelt Grier. Roosevelt -- known to most as "Rosey" -- is a Hall-Of-Famer for the NFL. He was a member of the Los Angeles Rams' "Fearsome Foursome" defensive line of the late 1960s. He played alongside Merlin Olson, "Deacon" Jones, and Lamar Lundy. He was the keynote speaker at the 2000 Kiwanis District Convention, where he impressed the crowd with tales of his football career, as well as his involvement in the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in Los Angeles. Rosey rushed to Kennedy's aid following the gunshots outside of a Los Angeles Hotel in 1968.
