CANDLE  LIGHT  MEDITATION

1) Read the instructions, then scroll down the page until only the candle is in view.

2) Start breathing deeply into your belly as you read these instructions. Long, slow, rhythmic breaths. Let your mind become still.

3) Gaze softly at the candle flame for many seconds -the longer the better. Then close your eyes and imagine that this flame is in the center of your head. Concentrate on the flame and the Light it is giving.

4) Now, move the beautiful flame down your neck into your chest. Imagine that your heart is a flower opening to accept the coming flame.

5) Then let the flame settle in the very center of your flower. Feel it warm and brighten your heart. This beautiful Light takes away all the sorrows in your heart and replaces them with the feeling of Love. Let the brightness of the Light and Love start to extend throughout your whole body; to the tips of your fingers and toes. Feel every cell being illuminated by its brilliance.

6) Also imagine the Light filling your mouth. Here, it gets rid of all hasty words and helps you to use kind and gentle words of compassion. It is so powerful that it clears away the clouds of your mind and rids you of all bad thoughts which have made you and others unhappy. This beautiful Light helps you to think positive thoughts, and have optimistic feelings from now on.

7) Again, imagine that your whole body is getting brighter with the Light. Let it shine away all shadows of dis-ease. Feel how wonderful it is to be One with the Light !

8) Let it shine through you now, and imagine that you are sending Light and Love to all the members of your family, especially the ones you have problems with. Envelope them tenderly with the warmth of Love's Light. Imagine them becoming as filled with the Light as you are. Embrace them all. Let the group's Light expand throughout the whole world, including everyone and everything. See the earth shine as you let the Light expand to fill the universe. Feel Love existing everywhere. Everything is bright, everything is Light, everybody is One. Relax into this image and remember; nothing is impossible - everyone is always helpful - I am safe (add your own affirmations as well).

9) After a few minutes, bring your imagination back to the Light in your heart. See your body and emotions as healed and perfect. Now stretch your arms and legs gently, open your eyes slowly. Noticehow peaceful you feel. Promiseto take a moment everyday to feel this peace again. And take a few moments now and be in grateful prayer, for the Light is One with you. And know that life's extremes will fade into the brilliance of Light's Love as you claim it yours by visiting with it daily.
