Season Summaries

Sailormoon

First Season Heroines/Heros

First Season Villians

The first season focus's on introducing the characters and the whole moon kingdom story. The main villian, Queen Metallia, doesn't really play a big part in the show until the final episode and one of her minions, Queen Beryl, is the one who really seems in charge.

A thousand years ago, the moon kingdom was attacked by Queen Beryl. The ruler of the moon kingdom, Queen Serenity fough hard but couldn't defeat Beryl. Her Daughter, Princess Serenity, was in love with the prince of Earth, Endymion. The prince fought alongside the queen and the princess, but he was killed by Beryl. Queen Serenity, in an effort to deafeat Beryl and save her daughter, her guardians and Endymion, sent them away into the future to be born again in a peaceful time, but in case trouble ever came they could transform and be able to fight. She also used her last bit of power as well as the Silver Crystal to seal Beryl and her minions away.

Well, in case you wee wondering, Beryl returned with the same goal in mind - to release dark energy on the Earth so Mettalia can take it over. She also wanted to marry Prince Endymion (aka Tuxedo Mask) who is Sailormoon's true love. She fails (of course) and is destroyed (along with Mettalia) by Sailormoon and the Silver Crystal.

Sailormoon R

Second Season Heroines/Heros

Second Season Villians

Sailormoon R is broken up into two plots. The first one was never part of the manga, but was created to give the manga time to catch up. This plot is about two aliens (a brother and sister) who need energy both to live and to feed their precious Tree which allows them to survive. Another interesting twist is that the brother has a cruch on Usagi and the sister has one on Mamoru. In the final episode, the senshi discover that the reason the Tree was dying was because the energy that it was being fed was negative energy and that by the siblings loving each other, the Tree would grow.

The second part of Sailormoon R deals with the Black Moon family. This plot has a lot of villians and is the introduction of Chibi-usa. Although she doesn't find out until it's too late, Chibi-usa (Sailormoon and Mamoru's future child) is after the Silver Crystal. The villians, however are after Chibi-usa. Eventually, the Wise Man (the leader of the villians) captures Chibi-usa and turns her into Blacklady. Blacklady is an older and evil version of Chibi-usa. In the end though, Sailormoon and the other senshi, including Sailorpluto, defeat the Black Moon family.

Sailormoon S

Third Season Heroines/Heros

Third Season Villians

Sailormoon S introduces three new senshi: Sailorneptune, Uranus and at the end, Saturn (Pluto was introduced in R). In this season, the villians (the Death Busters) are led by Tomoe and Kaolinite, who are searching for the three talismans which are hidden in pure heart crystals. Theses pure heart crystals are only found in some people and so the villians create Daimon eggs which hatch to make Daimons, who look for the oure heart crystals. Once the three talismans are found and brought together they will form the Holy Grail which has the power to either save or destroy the world. The outer senshi, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are on a mission to find the talismans as well and eventually find out that they are hidden in them.

Meanwhile the daughter of Tomoe, Hotaru, makes friends with chibiusa. Although Hotaru doesn't really know it, Mistress 9 (an entity) is hidden inside her and when she swallows Chibi-usa's Heart Crystal, Mistress 9 appears. Evenutally, hotaru defeats her and becomes Sailor Saturn. Then, Sailormoon and Saturn defeat Pharoah 90 (who is the entity that Mistress 9 was trying to call forth) and the grail was destroyed. Hotaru becomes a baby and her father, who has been truned good again, takes care of her.

Sailormoon Super S

Fourth Season Heroines/Heros

Fourth Season Villians

<Picture>Sailormoon SuperS revolves mostly around Chibi-Usa. In this season, the villians (the Dead Moon Circus) are looking for pegasus who has the Golden Crystal in his horn. The Dead Moon Circus first sends out the Amozoness Trio to search people's dream mirrors for pegasus. Eventually, pegasus is found in Chibi-usa's mirror. Ziraconia, one of the Dead Moon leaders, orders the Trio to kill the senshi. However, the trio discovers that they are not human and have no dream mirror from Sailormoon and when Sailormoon's dream mirror is broken an enemy, the trio sacrifices their lives to save her.

The next enemies from the Dead Moon Circus, the Amozoness Quartet, are searching for the Golden Mirror, which is where pegasus is hiding. Later on the senshi invade the Dead Moon Circus and Chibi-usa is captured along with pegasus. Nehelenia (the leader if the Dead Moon Circus) takes the crystal, but the senshi fight her and end up getting it back. Nehelenia seals herself into a mirror in oder to preserve her beauty. It's later revelaed that pegasus is really Helios, guardian of Elysian and Endymion.

Sailormoon Sailorstars

Fifth Season Heroines/Heros

Fifth Season Villians

Sailormoon Sailorstars is broken up into 2 plots. The first just finishes up where Sailormoon SuperS left off. Nehelenia is released from her mirror (by the enemy in the the second plot) and of course wants revenge on Sailormoon. In the end, Sailormoon and the other senshi heal her and change her back into a little girl so she can start her life over.

The second plot introduces the Three Lights who turn out to be the Sailorstarlights. These three new senshi who although are males as civilians, when they transform they change gender. The Sailorstarlights are searching for there princess. The villian, Sailor Galaxia, is searching for a good star seed. I'm not going to go into details, because you can read a summary of the final episode in a lot of pages, so basically Sailormoon finds out that Sailor Galaxia was the strongest senshi in the galaxy and that the real villian, Chaos, was trying to destroy the galaxy and Sailor Galaxia, in order to save everything, allowed chaos in her body thinking that she could keep it under control. Slowly, however, it took over her. Fortunately, Sailormoon healed her and everything ended happily.
